  1. Stop buying those garbage jigs and you won't have a problem.
  2. Yea...it sucks as usual this time of year. ;D
  3. It is always a good time. And it isn't outside the box as much as it is just improving a method or just taking an idea and running with it. Guys it was great, lets just have more people next year. That is one hell of a lake. I can't believe I finally had a fish die on me. Was just too warm for 10 decent smallies in the well. 8-)
  4. I'm sorry. It just got to me...
  5. Old fart.... ;D
  6. This thread is depressing...
  7. This is exactly why I bowed out of this one.
  8. I find night tournaments to suck 85% of the time, be ok 10% of the time, and good 5% of the time.
  9. Come on guys, weather looks good and there are tons of fish in there.
  10. 4 game set with them this weekend!
  11. If it were not smallmouth I would agree with Catt. But smallies are a whole different story.
  12. Come on guys, we have about 6 or 7.
  13. I think he clearly has some form of an anxiety/social disorder. But then again Fourbizz complains like him... : Must be a Cali thing.
  14. You should check out Rahmen's new catfish flavor.
  15. When they make a Rice-o-Roni for Bass.
  16. Yes, this is what happens when you trade for infielders and have too many as it is when you really need more than 3 reliable pitchers. We get cranky...where's the Midol?
  17. I think a lot of it is where you are in the country. Up here we have 30 boats on a 200 hundred acre lakes constantly and the pressure and peoples ignorance (keeping certain fish, littering, ect) has ruined most of our fisheries. So I can see exactly where you are coming from Rhino. I think more people need to be educated before we "promote" fishing. I am always cutting hundreds of feet of line out of my trolling motor because people just throw it in, taking other anglers' hooks out of fish I catch, and throw my jig at garbage pilled up in the water that acts as cover for fish. Fishing in southern New England is awful because of too many uneducated anglers who just don't give a $%^#.
  18. x2 There are a lot of unemployed accountants with a lot more experience than you just dying to find a job. They are kind of like all the people around here to be English, History, and Phys Ed. teachers. :
  19. x2 But this year they are now going to charge me another $115 for a parking sticker for the boat. > As long as I keep above a 3.5 and I have extra money being given to me I don't care. 84.49 and up is fine for me
  20. Stick to largemouth Catt and re-read the article.
  21. x2. But if I break up with the woman it will be back. :-X
  22. Catt I'm sorry but I think you are a little off on this one. Location was a part of it but the lures were huge. Smallies are very aggressive creatures and reaction baits are the key (buzzbait, jerkbait, scrounger, and spinnerbait). If he got a fish to come up and short strike or could not hook up he would throw the finesse worm on the drop-shot or the 4" Ocho to get them to it again. I would say taking advantage of the smallmouths' naturally aggressive behavior with reaction baits that allowed him to cover water (he covered about a half mile a day according to a couple articles)were the key factors.
  23. 4-6 pound Trilene 100% or Seaguar Invis-x Sounds light but I have had 20-22 pound bags of smallies and largies with it. I have NEVER had a fish snap it either. It's all about tiny hooks and a correctly set drag with a whimpy rod.
  24. Maxxum or Maxxum Pro? And I have used a couple of Fortex's. Both are really loud and squeaky in my opinion. But still better than any Motor Guide when it comes to cutting through grass. I still like the Maxxum Pro's best.
