Go heavier to 3/8 or 1/2 so you can burn the thing as fast as you can. And buy a couple because the friction from the heat of burning them messes them up. Slow is not always better... :
So ah, how many beers does it take to get to that upper age limit?
Sometimes older can be better. Especially if they are old rich widows. Right on Robby!
I would not recommend the Crucials at all. Everytime I'm in BPS I see a broken one being returned. But I do love the Cumara's. The Fenwick Techna's are on sale dirt cheap, I would pick one of those up for $130 before anything else right now. But there was a guy selling Cumara's in the flea market section for around $160.
I think the Canes are a little under-rated. They could beat any of the Big 12 teams including Texas and that dam Boise State team but I don't see them beating a big SEC team like Bama or LSU.
I think it is great for us smallie guys in summer. Bags over 15 pounds in the summer are common and bringing those fish up from 20'+ into mid 70's surface temps to air temps in the 80's is just brutal. Then in a livewell with other fish and possibly big waves on the ride back really bangs them up. They are much more fragile than largies so I like the lower limit.
I use my Abu's for drop-shotting and finesse and my Shimmy's with braid on them for winching in those wacky rigged fish in grass with 30 pound braid.
When I did it the other way around the result was grinding and I felt like I was turning an egg beater by the end of the season... ;D
