b Well, maybe not UCONN, but you should hear the local news in Hartford. Deadly shootings every couple days. It's pretty ridiculous. I make it a point to steer clear of that deadbeat "city". Prayers for the family. Very tragic story. Yup, Hartford is nasty. To get to the boat ramp on the CT River you drive by homeless shelters, meth clinics, and hookers. And do not go in the boat ramp area alone, police are constantly finding bodies there. In talking to a cop their a few years ago I remember him telling me they had already found 23 there. And this was in mid-July. Though Connecticut is very nice in the eastern and northwestern parts.

I would say skipping tubes, and wacky rigged baits under docks. But I'm sure it would be fine for a multipurpose light plastic rod from shore. Sounds like a great little drop-shot rod as well.

Pretty sad, I have been thinking about going to UCONN for grad school and toured it over the summer. Place is beautiful and is like a big city in the middle of cow and farm country. One of the biggest and nicest campuses around. He is the third UCONN student to be killed in the past 6 months.

That was an amazing movie. One of Johnny Depp's better characters. Inglorious Basterds was also a great film. My personal favorite from this year. It had a little bit of everything to it.

Saw Law Abiding Citizen last night at around 12:20am and wow was it awesome. One of the better movies of 2009. Gerard Butler makes his King Leonidas character look like a little _____ . Tons of action and suspenseful throughout.

I didn't realize how good Jamarcus Russell was. He set season highs with 17 complete passes and 224 yards! He should be Pro Bowl bound.

Not as bad as New England is beating up on the Oilers/Titans. 24-0 Pats, Moss has been open all game, and the Titans have turned the ball over 3 times, with lots of time before the half. New England's Rookie Vulmer who is filling in, is throwing Kyle Van Den Bosch around like a rag doll.

The foot control is a b* to get use to and gets really frustrating. Also you always need to remember to stow button or else it ruins the motor. I like them but nothing goes through grass like a Minn Kota.

He was actually fishing on the bottom in 35-40' and it came right out of the middle of a ball of bait. As for everything else, if John wants to say it he can. All I can say was that I got about 9 phone calls in one hour after he got it. ;D It is the 4th fish I have heard of coming out of Beach over 9 pounds, they love the trout in there. A member of this site who lives up in Maine got one of them also. No one deserves this more than John though.

When feeding out of reaction (like a frog going over their head or by them), yes they do usually inhale unless the bait is too big. Which is usually 9 out 10 times. The other times when they are swatting it or if they are just mouthing it you are better off fishing something else like a fluke type bait or a jig to get the "hook-up" strikes you need.

Yeah...that and those two casinos you've got. Time for Rhode Island to open a few casinos, or put the state up for sale. but then again, who would buy it???
