  1. I agree with that. The other thing is just making money as a student. I could have played hockey but since almost all of my tuition is paid for via grants and scholarships would rather work and make money so I can go out and have fun.
  2. x2, LSU shut them down so I'm sure Bama can. And plus, Ingram is just that good. He should run all over them. Bama 31-24.
  3. The New England way of doing things... Lay everyone off, hire all illegal immigrants for nickels and dimes. Several companies have been caught doing this including one that employed over 100 last year. They are using the "tough times" reason to lay off then bring back illegals. Seriously, I like #2, if it is not possible, go with #3.
  4. Northeastern University did it last month and now Hofstra. I looked at Northeastern for grad school and it was amazing, right in the middle of Boston, this place is loaded with money and still cut there team. Now today Hofstra cut theirs. My girlfriend went to Hofstra for two years and this place is crazy. The freshman parking lot consists of nothing but BRAND NEW Mercedes, Hummers, BMW's, and Mazarati's. And even they are saying it costs too much. Greed or signs of a tough time? These schools cost 35k+ to attend. Word has it numerous other schools in the northeast will be cutting athletic programs (including mine)... :-[
  5. Could have told you it was going to happen, they suck against Big 10 teams...
  6. Ok, so once again no bass over 20 pounds have been taken from Japan prior to the new record. Put it threw out a fish almost 3 pounds heavier than its previous record. Cali's smallie record is 9.83, So it is clearly possible that it can throw out a fish 2.5 pounds bigger than it previously has. I highly doubt that the 9.83 is the biggest smallie swimming in Cali.
  7. Can't make that argument. How many bass over 20 pounds were caught from Japan prior to the new world record?
  8. You live in Virginia and are putting your boat away? Winterizing while having open water should be a sin... ;D I trim the motor all the way down, dump Sta-Bil in, put the muffs on and run it for a bit to get the Sta-bil in, turn it off, and leave it. If I'm doing it wrong let me know. Four years, always starts the first turn 4 months later.
  9. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1258985900 I personally prefer a little shorter because I'm generally flipping against a shore with over-hanging brush.
  10. Oh yea I got your drift 100%. I just remember seeing guys rigs and such when I first started out and thinking WOW, thats awesome and getting intimidated. I just through it out there to think about that it is not so much the gear that catches the fish. Trust me, I could look at Redline and Jimzee's custom stuff all day long and drool. And I liked the look of the black on black so much I teamed my Cumara's up with black Revos. ;D I'm 100% guilty of it too.
  11. Netbait soft plastics are the ***...I think it is the scent. I went over to their finesse worms from Zoom and have noticed a HUGE difference. Also Jackall cranks and the Cover craw. I didn't use them much but when I did I loaded the boat.
  12. I wouldn't Alan... ;D
  13. Nice, but just remember...give KVD a Zebco 202 and he will still kick all our arses. It's what you know and what you can do with it.

    Hey Catt...

That was a beat-down... The image of Brady and Belichick looked at the scoreboard in the fourth said it all. But......New Orleans will have to beat Minnesota and possibly Dallas to get to the Superbowl. PM me your address Catt and I will send you some New England specials...
  15. It's all over the place that he is coming back to New England. I don't know how I feel about this. :-/
  16. Reminds me of South Park a few weeks ago...Chicken and cow use dolphin and whale as scapegoat?
  17. So midgets can't hunt in Louisiana? This explains LBH's where-abouts. It was Catt, in the bayou, with the rifle....
  18. You're in a float tube in 42* water? I would widen the cone that hits the bottom. Seems like you are just shooting down a straight line despite being in 14-19' of water. :-?
  19. I didn't join B.A.S.S. until 2004 and had never even heard of this stuff. Figured it would interest some of the newer guys. Got to love Clunn steering with one hand.
  20. We just put our chocolate lab down a few weeks ago and we had a yellow for about 6 years. Both were just so d**n hyper even after getting fixed. The chocolate was 15 when we had to put him to sleep and was still like a puppy.
  21. Maybe one of the good bio guys will help out but I believe they release something (stress signal or something to that affect) that can kill the bite. I have experienced it as well and I will keep as many fish in the well as I'm allowed in order to keep it going when fun fishing.
  22. Solar Bats are nice, I love my Under Armour ones though.
  23. It is all about finding the right breeder. They are very pricey but the only two things medical wise besides check-ups that I have had to pay for for Mack was an eye infection she got when she was a puppy ($300) and to get her fixed was about $1200. They have problems going under anesthesia so you need to go to a specialist. Also with finding a good breeder a lot of the stuff that you don't want with a dog is not there. For example Mack does not drool and she doesn't have the cork-screw tail that allows her to be prone to infections. But the dam dog is way too smart for her own good as well.
  24. Cool to see...check out Skeet's epic failure... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6qaz0MyPsHM
