  1. That stuff will really make you think and some of the views on it and science really make sense. It is a lot like the conspiracy behind Roosevelt letting Pearl Harbor happen. I don't believe it, but it is an interesting take on the subject.
  2. I was wondering about the fishing and spots, not driving a boat. If you don't know how don't run it, or drive it at headway speed.
  3. The whoppers just imroved on the incredibly crappy hook of the Fintech's. I loved the originial knuckball but the hooks just fla out sucked.
  4. You can't kill a lipless crank and let it fall? Also when it comes to reaction bites in grass it is a lot easier to rip a lipless crank out rather than a spinnerbait. You can also bump timber with a lipped crank and kill and and let it rise or keep reeling and give it an arratic action. When it comes to grass that is in more than 4' and timber I would take the crank. Also, fish see a lot more spinnerbaits than cranks.
  5. I figured you meant going out with a guide, not a guide going out with you.
  6. Just checked it out on CollegeBoard and it must be either a very difficult school, a party school, or one that accepts a lot of people because only 2/3's return for their sophmore year.
  7. I also had a few friends go down that I graduated with. They were high school sweethearts and broke up shortly after arriving. My buddy said there were just too many girls. lo Any idea on what you want to major in?
  8. I decided to make this thread after someone on another thread asked if guides were cool with someone bringing a GPS unit on to mark spots. I would never hire a guide to lean how to safely navagate. In my book run it slow first if you cannot follow the GPS or channel markers then follow your path the next time through according to the previous track. If you can't figure it out you shouldn't be driving a boat. I have just seen and read about lots of nasty accidents on the Connecticut River. Plus watching someone drive and doing it are completely different when 20' makes all the difference.
  9. If you are willing to take a roadtrip that attitude would change.

    YUM Buzzfrog

......Bigger the hook the better. I and fish them everywhere you would fish a buzzbait.
  11. Just drop it, shake it 2 feet, reel in and repeat.
  12. Interesting.....
  13. Take the swivel and spinner off, throw in a piece of solder and wacky rig it.
  14. lol
  15. I like the bar more. ;D And Redline out of curiousuy when I was going to buy a Megabass I read a lot of horrible things abou their warranty program that really turned me off. What is the truth on it?
  16. Fact: There is no such thing as a good FICHT. ;D
  17. All I fished until i found War Eagle. Have not bought one in two years but I remember having to watch the swivels that connect the blades. The liked to break.
  18. Hard to beat a lipless crank or jerkbait when the wind kicks up. I generally do very well in main lake pockets close to breaklines with the wind on them with lipless baits. Just becuase it is cold doesn't mean you have to fish slow.
  19. You can get on schools of smallies on Champlain, Erie, and Ontario and bang out dozens of fish over 4 pounds. I know I have done a few days of 30 smallies over 4 pounds. Largemouth, my record is 26 while goofing around / prefishing one day on Champlain. It was actually for the Weekend Series T I won on smallies. All the fish came on jigs and spinnerbaits. Had 9 over 5 and 5 over 6. Had nothing left for thumbs. Champlain is just one of those special places.
  20. For my c-rigs and drop-shot rigs I keep them wrapped around a 8" piece of carboard.
  21. Baron of URI. Rams won again and will most likely finish the year with 25 wins and are there way into the Top 25 and are really up there in RPI rankings. They lost some great seniors last year and were predicted to finish in the bottom of the A-10.
  22. Did they recommend you take the sleeping pills? I have gone under 6 times in the past year and all the sheets said to avoid them.
  23. A spin-off from another thread. So what do you guys think od hiring a guide to help you prefish? Personally I look at it as cheating and you should put your own time into the lake, find your own areas and patterns.
  24. Whatever, if you fish t's there that is cheating in my book. Real original Wesley, lol. :
