  1. Some days I wish I had a glove. I have gotten two infections from "bass thumb" and a destroyed palm. They are worth it sometimes. Especially if you deal with smallies and spots a lot.
  2. Yelp fish the most productive pattern at a given time, typical example of what's necessary it win. Given, but very interesting that just about every Classic Winner (when it was in the heat of the summer) was fishing shoreline cover. And all the cold-water tournies were won off-shore. Why is this? Technological advances in fish-finders in the past 5 years? The limited amount of practice so they immediatley go to where they know fish will be? And if this is true if they were given more practice time would they find off-shore areas and would weights go up as a result?
  3. mmmm, don't care as long as I get flowers with them. :
  4. Impossible. I've never done so many sit ups in a months time than I did after seeing 300. I don't watch movies to check out dudes... I was referring to just how merciless and cold he is. He truly is a sick f in this movie.
  5. With pigtails...
  6. Yup, that is the way. Here was I was thinking... Winter time Classics... Clausen, fishing offshore Lilly stems Duckett, pitching and lipliess cranking offshore grass patches Alton Jones, football jigging a deep channel with stumps Skeet, (river system but still middle of a pocket/backwater fishing stumps and grass) KVD, offshore grass and a channel in a cove. Past summer Classics in hot weather... 2005 (exception, bridge pilings on a river system) 2004 Omori flipping and cranking laydowns on a bank 2003 Ike, but given it was the Delta there is not too much that isn't on a bank 2002 Yelas, flipping a bank 2001 KVD flipping a bank (if I remember correctly) 2000 Woo, (cold temps and smallies so i think this is an exception) 1999 Hite with shoreline grass 1998 Brauer...what else does he do 1997-looking back to even Cochran's win in the 80's all won on banks, docks, brush, shoreline veggies, ect... See the pattern here...lol
  7. We had temporary disability insurance in RI that part of your check goes towards every week and it has saved me twice, but you only get what you put in and don't get paid after 6 months. I'm starting to think about looking into Disability Insurance though because of my recent diagnoses.
  8. All I was saying was the guys who were fishing off-shore structure finished higher than those who were fishing the banks. Who said there is anything wrong with a bank-beater? Biffle, Brauer, and for the most park Hank Parker made their livings off banks. Even Clunn lived on the banks in the Arkansas and James River Classics he won. With the exception of a few, to my knowledge a lot of the Classic (when they were held in July or August) were won by guys fishing banks or shoreline cover.
  9. Greenhouse.... ;D Congrats and good luck.
  10. They took that Mercury stuff out.
  11. Like I said, Butler makes his King Leonidas character look like a b****.
  12. From all the videos it looked that way. He was targeting grass beds on the banks.
  13. We usually will get a random case in from time to time but I know of several other stores that carry it and will have only a few on the shelf, it is not very well known and when a handle of Captain is next to it for the same price no one will give it a shot.
  14. That stuff is also good but very hard to get. Pretty pricey if I remember right, like $24 for a 750.
  15. Alex is not only the best player in the world, but he is probably one of the best hitters too. He is far from one of the best hitters. Look through compilations of his best hits and you will see a lot of the time he hits when the players back is turned and that player is defenseless (which should be boarding calls) or he leaves the ice and jumps into people (which should be boarding or charges). And to top it off he wears a visor so he can't be that tough, he is a punk in my book. If he played ten years ago before hockey really changed he would be getting beat up.
  16. Nope, actually a town that used to have a lot of money. It is sad to see people who used to buy $30 bottles of wine last year for dinner on the weekends now buying $7 bottles of Sutter Home. The same goes for beer drinkers, a lot of guys who used to drink Bud are now onto Natty or Genny. It seems as though people don't change what they buy when it comes to hard stuff though
  17. Nope, but it sells real good at the store I work in. It is kind of sad but by far the most popular selling whiskey is Jim Beam or McAdams. Although Jim Bead Red Stag is pretty dam yummy.
  18. Yup, what they were doing was just plain textbook for lack of a better term, Notice the bank beaters (Omori, Biffle, and Ike) finished behind them. ;D
  19. If anyone needs to warm up on a cold day, warm up some Wild Turkey Honey. That stuff is great. As soon as summer hits I love Jack Sours. It is like Jack lemonade to me.
  20. Love tax refunds lol.
  21. I still don't know if they have what it takes to beat the Fins, Sweds, or even Russians. Different style of hockey imo.
  22. I love when Brodeur gets humbled. lol But those Russians look good.
  23. No joke dude, it is the well vodka for most restaurants and bars around here too. You can get half pints for $1.89 or a pint for $2.99. It is the top-selling of all the spirits where I work. Probably go through two cases of handles a day and about a dozen or so 750's and liters. Around Christmas and Thanksgiving that number goes up tp about five cases a day.
  24. There is a reason Dick's sells 100 yard spools of the stuff for $4. : I know in past threads the overwhelming majority hated it, I used it for about 5 minutes before it was off my reels.
  25. The best story was from 2005 in Pittsburgh. Ish Monroe had an area all to himself and I believe it was where Hackney did very well this past year and had one of the best chances to win. When he got there a local was all over it blocking an area and wouldn't move unless Ish gave him a few rods and reels. : But I bet the other competitors are loving it. Seeing guys fishing around KVD maybe taking some fish and getting in his head.
