  1. For the Abu Max series and Revo's try ***.com. That's where I ordered my Revo S, Black Max, and Tourney Max from. Not to sure about delivery by the 25th but worth a shot.
  2. I agree to a point. For example, I wonder just how much "better" the Boyd Duckett Series will be over the baseline LTX. According to e21's website, the Boyd Duckett differs from the LTX with: Better Guides a different grip Gold anodized butt cap And you pay $100 more for those niceties. So, bang-for-the-buck, will the Boyd Duckett deliver? My guess is the cheaper LTX would provide a better value. x2, I'll stick to the LTX's.
  3. I do not know if it because our lakes are so small or what, but there is usually a 2-4 week window in late April untill the 3rd week in May to catch fish off beds, by June, the bluegills have taken over the beds. And unless we have a few warm weeks, the fish are off the beds by the time that water hits the 64-66* range. In some clear lakes around here largies will be just about all spawned out by the time the water hits 62*. Weird, must be a northern thing.
  4. Discerning/differentiating bottom medium. It's what sold me on Loomis years ago...I felt the bottom like never before. It obviously wasn't as drastic as switching to a GLX, but I'll take any advantage that I can get. Ok, I think I got what your say but why tungstein to feel the bottom? Couldn't you feel more with a weight that covers more area, like lead?
  5. Used to work at the landfill in RI. Used to have roll-off dumpsters go right off the truck when they were traveling up the hill. Crazy stuff
  6. Ok so... Pro's=Size to weight ratio, paint stays on the head, better than lead in eco terms Con's=Price...Anything else? As for sensitivity, you have less line contact, but an ounce is an ounce is an ounce. It doesn't make it feel any lighter.
  7. Welcome, thank you for serving our country and I'm sure you will like it on Lake Fork, especially in about 3 months or so
  8. Ya, same guy, different technology. They are making golf clubs out of it and everything. All I know is that it is REALLY REALLY light, and REALLY REALLY sensitive, blows away an Airrus.
  9. Ya, he wasn't sponsered by them in the Classic he as still with Airrus, but in the Major he won he was sponsered by them but is pictued still using Airrus Rods, go figure.
  10. Rod, I got a 6'9" MH Carrot Stick for pitching and 7'3" for open water jigs/ footballs. I'll give you a review soon... like 3-5 months.
  11. Great info Catt. Starting to notice something else different though. I noticed in the article it said upper 60's was ideal for spawning temp, in Oklahoma anyway. A few days ago in a spawn thread it was said that mid 60's was ideal in Maryland. Up here as soon as that water hits 55* you will start seeing beds getting made, and in largemouth lakes, where there are not any smallies, so they are not smallmouth beds (smallies spawn in colder water temps). If you are fishing in water above 65* up in New England chances are you have missed the spawn or the bigger fish anyway. So I'm starting to think that fish spawn in different temps in different parts of the country. :-?

    worms

See if spike-it or zoom makes white dye in liquid or marker form.
  13. O you fans of country radio :
  14. It can be really fun when your single . I think SUP BRO would show us all up though, lol.
  15. Baitmonkey is getting better and better with time. Don't even have to catch a fish on a bait to be amazed with it.
  16. Exactly my thoughts, if you catch a bass off a bed, and release it around the area, it will find its way back. Thats why after a tourney in the spawn, I will return fish to the general area I caught them in a few hours earlier. Just wish more people would instead of dumping them at the ramp. But even then, who knows.
  17. I definatley better make it to Amistad by then I guess. :
  18. Dude! You have Winnie right in your backyard! Why would you want to leave?
  19. Thanks Mr.Caller, like I said, it really doesnt need to be smaller, it just needs A SLOWER FALL. You dont need a bitsy flip or anything like that, you can use a full size 1/4oz and it will do the trick. And I messed around a lot more this year with different jig weights and fall ratios, and it seemed like they fish would always hit a 1/4 oz. Might just have that perfect fall rate :-? And it is definatley the best choice for h2o under 60* imo. Unless you are fishing deep.

    BARE NAKED JIGS

Shhhhhhhhhhhhh... thats the little known secret in RI, lol "Finesse pitchin'". A 7/32 oz. Title-Shot knuckleball head with a small beaver or half of a zoom super hog. Have to use a medium action rod and 8-10 pound line though because of the hook.
  21. I know smallies will always go back to the bed, and you can catch them over and over and over. Just curious about the matter with largies. I have my own thoughts but just curious to what you guys thought or if there is a real answer.
  22. Had a Junior Club meeting today and the issue of tourneys during the spawn between me and a few others came up. If you take a prespawn female off a bed will she still spawn? And if you take a prespawn female out of a general area and release her in a different will she still spawn? I know certain states close bass season when the fish are spawning, is there a certain reason? Thanks, Mike Jr.
  23. Was shipped THursday night, 3-5 day priority. O ya, and don't get your hopes up when you see the box Matt. ;D
  24. I like to analyze a book, find symbolism, political stuff at the time the book was written, and other little things that are in there. My personal favorite for this is "All Quiet on the Western Front". TONS of symbolism and little messages tucked in. Like Kemmerick's boot's, and the price of a life and the horrors of war. Amazing book. Also things Shakespeares' MacBeth and Caesar and great for doing this with.
