  1. Slot limits have turned around one particular CT lake. In just a few years, all 10-14" fish to an average of just over 2 pounds.

  11. Any fellow History geeks get into this show on HBO? I'm really liking it. One of the more accurate American Revolution TV/Movie things I have seen too.
  12. I can't take this thread anymore, I have to change my pants again.
  13. My best guess would be the bigger fish are not on rocks but instead on either the deeper ones you can't see or hold on a break where there is deeper water in front of those rocks. Chances are you and every other angler fishes those rocks hard. Find something different around those rocks or different about certain rocks in that area.
  14. Got my Red Sox stuff yesterday, hats are too expensive these days. I bought a white fitted New Era with a green B and it cost me $35. > Hate to make you drool Hook'em, but I also got a St. Patty's day Ellsbury shirt. 8-)
  15. Something tells me this is going to be a great thread. Get out the notebooks, time to go to school.
  16. I just pour my own Paca's these days. My favorite colors to pour are.... 1. Watermelon w/ blue flake 2. Watermelon w/ copper flake 3. A flippin blue with black flake
  17. The jig color question have already been answered so.... For standing timber, pitch to within about 6 inches of it, let it fall to the base, then shake it once it is down there. Make a couple pitches to each, then move on to the next. For deadfalls, pitch to the outer parts first, especially where the limbs make a V. When it hits the bottom, wait a few seconds, then shake the jig and begin hopping it out. Make multiple pitches and work your way from the front of the tree to the bank.
  18. Wow a 42 pound thurst TM on a 19' Charger? :-/
  19. Sorry Russ, but I spit Mt.Dew on the labtop after that "One Lake Wonder" comment. That is just too funny. But he did catch fish at Pachaug last year John.
  20. Why not Sacandaga in September. 8-) John that is the perfect avatar for you. ;D
  21. This could be the worse bracket I have ever created. My other one for a Facebook league is great, this one is just horrible.
  22. How about Western Kentucky???? 8-)
  23. I think WVU and Duke will be one of the best games of the tourney, can't wait.
  24. In a lot of tournies out here a limit of fish in you have a good shot of being in the money. Our lakes are so small they shut down real quick. For example one tourney last year I fished was a 7pm-1am Open. Not one of the 18 boats caught a fish after 9pm! No limits were weighed in and 6 pounds took home some cash. This happens a lot out here, there were 25 boat tournies that would pay $700 to first place, and first place would have 5 dinks for 5.5 pounds. Every 12" fish counts out here.
