  1. ;D But I agree woth Sam, beats work or school.
  2. Hey LBH this sounds familiar... ;D When I was house-sitting Russ's place for a week I would play with his cat. He has a special little homemade rod and you would tie a cat-toy to the line, cast it like a fly rod, and drag it around, shake it, or pitch it into the cat's bed. It was great to get rid of the cabin fever.
  3. You guys are forgeting one, clear baby brush hogs. Not only clear hard baits catch fish. 8-) The ultimate clear water spawn bait.
  4. My dad and sis have a few and I steal them from time to time. I don't mind them, but I wouldn't go out and buy one. They have some reliability issues and I don't see them lasting more than 2 seasons of abuse. I would rather spend a little more money on a reel that I know will last forever.
  5. Bassnbrett I don't think you could compare KVD and Clunn at all. Two different time periods when bass fishing was much different imo. Look at the fishing pressure differences and technology differences. In the past 10 years I would have to say KVD though, before that Clunn and Martin.
  6. He got us > ;D Wequaquet is something else. Another great pond is Little Herring Pond. It is hard to get into and you need four-wheel drive and a car-topper but it is worth it. I'm not sure of the exact location but it is near Great Herring Pond if that helps. :-/ My ex's father took me there and we each caught almost 60 in 8 hours. A lot of nice quality 2-4 pound fish as well. It gets really choked up in late summer though.

    FAMOUS QUOTES

Catcher in the Rye: The mark of the immature man is that he wants to die nobly for a cause, while the mark of the mature man is that he wants to live humbly for one.'-Wilhelm Stekel "I got a fever, and the only perscription is more cowbell." Christopher Walkin "Looser always cry about doing there best, winners go home and :-X" Sean Connery
  8. I just wet myself. sssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...
  9. Yup, and one of your custom painted lipless cranks. 8-)
  10. The Bruins/Habs game on right now could be the best game all year. I smell a comeback. 8-) (Will regret saying in 2 hours : )
  11. I was wondering the same thing. Is it a southern thing? My mom makes lots of preserves and when I was on the phone with her I asked and she said she had no clue. :-/
  12. WOW That beats the RI Pickeral record by what? 2 pounds? Very nice, got a JR tourney and a clubber down on the Haug this weekend. Hopefully my trap and football attract more than those slime-darts. :
  13. Insert: gangsta
  14. Got to love that Cartoon program ;D
  15. Yup, and it is treating some of us very well. Sometimes in less than a foot of water.
  16. I think they need to get on Johnson's then, Wood Cove in the spring time is loaded with 10-16" pike.
  17. Ok, after staring at this picture for the past 9 hours it definatley looks photoshopped. And no one else is catching fish that size around here so it is really making me wonder. :-/ That fish is a gimmick like the rods you use. ;D
  18. Ok... 1. LBH got this in my head, you must see a deer or red fox on the way to the lake. I have found that turkey's are bad luck. 2. I must have Cheez-its with me whenever I fish. 3. If Billy Idol ever comes on the radio, your screwed, just turn around and go home. 4. Must pick feet off floor of truck whenever going over a bridge or railroad tracks. 5. While in the boat while sneaking under a bridge I have to touch both sides of it. I have a bunch more, or maybe I just have OCD. :-/
  19. Snap-On is worth every penny imo, except for their impact sockets.
  20. Nice, Worden's can be brutal this time of year. Seems like everyone was on them except me today.
  21. Giggity giggity 8-)
  22. Now that would be a great series.
  23. Nice, glad to see someone break 5 pounds from RI. Hope the dog is ok though. Every fish in the state must be up shallow sunning themselves. In the past two trips to Johnson's I don't think any of the fish I have caught have come any deeper than 2 feet.
  24. Definatley the Green from the East and most likely the Suns from the West.
  25. I can't speak for your Game Wardens, in Texas, some GW's cover 3-400 miles by themselves with no back up for hours. They patrol borders and encounter some illegals crossing and smugglers. One of the most dangerous jobs in Texas. Sorry for his ticket, but your statement about Barney and Game Wardens are off course. Hookem Bravo Matty. I live in RI and I am aware of the j-hook laws in NY, they are there to protect the salmon from "snaggers". It's a good law that is strongly enforced,.......for the benefit of the fish and fisherman. Take it as a lesson and spread the word, now you know Wo wo wo, are you telling me it is illegal to use a big set of snagging hooks and work them like a jerkbait in Wood River? :-?
