  1. I can't wait, it was exactly this time last year I whacked them on a local rat factory. Fishing a 6 dock stretch with a grass line about 30 feet infront of the docks. In 2 hours I put 15 fish in the boat between 4-6 pounds. The biggest two went 6-4 and 6-15. Can't wait to go get jiggy with it.
  2. I will never forget reading a BASS Times tourney report from Lake Lewisville and Ike got a strong finish using "Berkley Shakey Worms" (because he is sponsored by Berkley). But after watching the Bassmaster epsiode it is clear that there is a huge zip lock of senkos and he even says "Come on Senko, Come on Senko!" ;D
  3. My reponse was "Who Cares" because no one should be shocked by this. Look what BASS has become in the past couple years. This should come as no surprise. I have said it time and time again, BASS/ESPN/DISNEY only cares about what make them money, and whatever doesn't they get rid of (YOUTH, Fed Nation, Weekend Series). The "grass roots" BASS Ray Scott founded (pretty sad how he has become so non existent lately, shows the type of person he is) is gone, it is all about the Benjamin's. As you said Zel, one day people will notice, but those people will be the BASS higher ups, wondering why all the Federation Nation states have gone over to TBF.
  4. Luck is bound to change. Karma, one day you'll hit the lottery.
  5. Paulie Walnuts, I have found my cure. Now you need to find yours. All I can say say is new, big, waters.
  6. X2, best post of the thread. Yup, this is what the Weekend Series is for. It might also be a move to try to help boost the Weekend Series numbers, they have been down this year.
  7. You have made as many comebacks as Michael Jordan. Welcome back Mudster.
  8. CT River, he he he. If you know it, it is always on. It is a different world though. I love it because you can drop-shot big bridges for smallies, travel 20' and drop-shot largies on ship wrecks and barges. You have warm water discharges. Schools of 4 pound smallies that just cruise the sand flats between Hartford and Windsor, all those creeks that are just a jig fishermans heaven. Not too mention the main river crankin and grass beds. I need to go there now. :-/
  9. Same lakes, almost the same time of year. : All though I'am looking forward to see the Cold Water Clash and Pickwick, in 2010. I would like see some different places, like back to the 3 Rivers ( up, 16 pounds in 4 days is cool by me), maybe some northern tidal stuff like the Connecticut or Hudson.
  10. Get this over with so we can get back to baseball.
  11. He's a Marlin, what do you expect? I hope this thing goes about 16 and the managers use all the pitchers. I wanna see what $&$&$*($#&*@&@)$)$%&*$ Selig does. Let them use pitchers they have already used. ;D
  12. If I absolutley had to fish in those temps, find a bridge (so you stay cool too) and drop-shot the pillings.
  13. So as I'm eating dinner I pick up todays paper and begin reading. I usually check out the front page of each section and go from there. Front page just all politcal news, most of which is negative. So I go to the next page which is the Rhode Island section. It includes the story of a brutal rape and beating of a two year old by a her 17 year old babysitter, and a murder trial. The only highlight was a small 2" by 2" article on an Olympic swimmer from Rhode Island. Of course in this section was a total of 6 stories followed by 2 pages of Divorces and Foreclosures. I jump to the next section which is the Business section. In big bold letters, "RI's economy worst in 25 years". How wonderful and uplifting. Next section, West Bay (our county/local section). Nothing negative at all! I read a few stories, open it and BAM! Obituaries. The last section is the sports section and the main story is about the Red Sox first half. Despite the fact that they are in first place, some of the bullets are "Biggest Dissapointments" , "Low Points", ect ect. :
  14. Amazing rods, I love even the cheap XL's. They have a "feel" (not sensitivity) that is unlike other rods.
  15. Yup, did the Hudson and Mohawk in upstate New York. They were class 3 and 4 rapids. The best part is when you paddle back up river and put the nose into the rapid and surf it. So the raft pulls a Titanic and the back raises straight up into the air. I enjoyed it but 10 hours on the river and hour bus rides are a little much. My butt hurt to say the least.
  16. Thank you for proving my point. But I apologize because sarcasim is difficult to pick up on online.
  17. You weren't kidding. WOW
  18. I prefer a Molitov.
  19. Do they not teach spelling and grammar in South Lyon?
  20. I like to carolina rig either a hula popper or jitterbug and wacky rig a senko on every hook.
  21. Burley and sore forearm just make me laugh. ;D
  22. If your fishing grass no matter where it is on the lake you want to go with either a 1/8 or 1/4 oz t-rigged Green Pumpkin Brush Hog or an eggbeater over the top of it at any time. If you find yourself fishing rocks drop-shot or t-rig a 4" fading watermelon slim senko.
  23. We get a Wal-Mart thread shut down but we can all play nice when it comes to Iran's Missiles?? :
  24. That blue gill pattern is pretty sexy.
