  1. Why throw a jig if they are on baitfish? Sounds like the making for a great crankbait, fluke, or spinnerbait bite. :-?
  2. Go the last day and you can get some steals. LC's can be bought dirt cheap.
  3. Great line you shouldn't have any issues. Treat it with some KVD while putting it on the reel.
  4. ;D That one he got DQ'd in was the only chance he had. Lost a big bag that day that would have had him 3-4 pounds back going into the final day.
  5. No more antibiotics, just Tramadol when I need it.
  6. Forget the PFD's for a second and look at the other big thing. They were in the dark and tore up a 16' Crestliner hull almost the whole length from a tree. I have hit rocks, trees, and stumps in my Tracker and never tore anything up. If anything got a little rocked and stuck for a minute or two. So they must have been moving right along in the dark too. Doesn't matter how well you think you know a body of water things change.
  7. He is still serving a suspension from the 07 Classic "Drive-By".
  8. Find the warmer areas.
  9. Not what but where. First choice would be either a jig or big bulky bait like a Brush Hog. If on open water structure with limited cover then a drop-shot gets the nod. It's like candy...
  10. Not arguing that. But what good is a stand-up jig if it can't get to the bottom without getting hung up?
  11. Life has been downhill since the W. Hopefully it turns around before I start the Strens.
  12. Yep, I have been blessed.
  13. Best part is it might take 4 months to get your replacement. ;D
  14. Do they hang up on every piece of wood on you too? Wood, grass, rock, stray molecules of hydrogen and oxygen.... :-X Same here, one was enough for me. Comes with half a skirt and a wimpy weedguard.
  15. http://www.***.com/descpageSRODJACK-JPHSR.html $450 for that kind of warranty?
  16. Seaguar or Trilene 100% are my go to's. When spooling it on I always have it coming off the bottom of the spool and am running it threw a cloth with KVD Line Conditioner sprayed on it. Then I will tie a hook on and hook it into a tree or something and take off as much as I can then reel it back on so it is on tight. Works for me
  17. Only cause she's cute 8-) KVD HACK ATTACK SKEET???....you never know....lol If he does I will bleach my hair blonde.... It's Klein's time. Either he will win it on a jig or Clunn will take it on on one of his LC 1.5's. Sad to not see Biffle or Brauer in it. I would have put all my pennies on one of those two.
  18. I like the medium or medium-light actions. With the Gammy Split Shot/Drop Shot hooks and how smallies have tough mouths it seems like it just pinches the smallie and if you horse them and don't give them control over the situation they will throw it on you. I have yet to find a hook that will allow me to land 100% of the smallies I reel up on and give me control over them. It's just a double-edged sword I guess. I love the Loomis one's but $260 is just nuts imo, and the Cumara is too stiff for my liking. I'm leaning towards a Crucial though, just want one bigger than 6'8".
  19. Terminator Pro Top Secret... :-X
  20. That's not sad at all; I'd be thrilled if I felt that way about a bargain rod. Unfortunately for me, my Steez drop-shot rod is my favorite :-/ I guess the sad part is I will still get another Loomis one. Senko77 and I were at BPS in Foxboro yesterday and messed around with Crucial's, Cumara's, Diawa's, Croix's, BPS's, and realized it. ;D
  21. For the price, action, and durability, a 7' medium action spinning Ugly Stick is probably the best rod for drop-shotting on the market.
  22. Windy= Jerkbait Slick= Jig
  23. Full size Paca because of the air pocket or the double wide.
  24. I need to live in a bubble.
