  4. Guys here is the totally new version of the Evolution 2 Jig.We were going to debut it at ICAST along with the Shak-E2 head- but it is ready for sale now. We are showing pictures of the heads only for right now. I have redesigned the head a bit . #1 Since the price of tin has gone through the roof like gas and everything else-we are now making the New EVO 2 out of lead. It has a smaller profile than the orininal Evo-(lead is denser than tin). #2 We cut down the shoulders(disk plate) for better penetration. #3The head is a more Stealthier design. #4 It still has the Seaguar Flourocarbon weedguard.#5 I have now added a super strong Gamakatsu flipping hook.#6 It is now powdercoated for durability. -This new design is incredible The fulcrum rolls the bait foward and lands in the proper upright postion every time. Now here is the killer.. They are $2.00 cheaper a pack. They sell (2jigs per pack) for $7.95 same colors but no whites. The only way you can get them right now is phone orders. _If you would like to order -call 732-780-7383-- They only come in 3/8 and1/2 oz til we get the finesse finished next week. Thank you, Bobby@MegaStrike
  5. As most of you probibly know I am very good friends with Roland Martin. When I first heard over a year ago that Roland Martin was designing a new line of fishing rods I said Please dont let them be some cheap piece of crap. . BUT BUT BUT BUT. I am the kind of guy that says let me see them and use them -if they are junk-they are going in the fireplace or given to some kids(no offense to the kids -LOL) I received the rods . Looked at all of the components-believe me I am a ST Croix guy to death. They had all Fuji Guides and seats. Nice wrap-blue attractive color like the new legend series ST Croix.I know color dosent mean squat. They are super light and sensitive -Unique handles with some wrap on them.Durable -Then I said how much- I said to myself if they think they are going to switch me or anyone else from my St Croix (now they are about $189 ea) and these were in the $149-$169 range -they are out of their minds. SO! I again asked how much- They were selling for $79 for the spinning and baitcasting and $94 for the 7'6" flipping stick. These rods can hang with any high dollar rod out there quality wise- For guys that are just starting out-It is the best deal going. Like I said if they were junk-I would say stay away from them -These are a great rods. Take a look at them at bass pro or other stores. They just came out. This is my honest opinion and I dont get paid for this- Like I said if they were junk you would see the smoke LOL
  6. I think I got a Few from Speedbead or was that Flukester-Maybe Alpster- Let me ask roadwarrior where i got them -Just kiddin
  7. I promise you guys -there is no need for a 1/2 oz cavitron. The 3/8 is all you need. It has the same overall size profile as a regular 1/2 oz but the unique stealth design head is cut away for hydrodynamic purposes. It will cast as far as any 1/2 oz.. Believe me also you will not find a better buzzbait on the market. www.cavitronlures.com

  11. I studied martial arts from the second highest ranking Shorinjryu martial artist in the world for 13 years. He has tought me a lot about the art and how to carry myself. I would always have questions in class and would be afraid to raise my hand when he would ask"does anyone have any questions/" I had questions but was afraid of the embarassment of looking like an idiot in front of people. Then one day I raised my hand and said "I have a stupid question-he said Bobbyson they only stupid question is the one that isnt asked. - Soon everyone would raise their hands -they told me later that they felt the same as i did. That saying will stay with me the rest of my life. He has taught me so many things. I buried him last June and I miss my buddy. -My favorite saying of his was. I have been to the land of the rising sun. I have seen the best of the best. There is no superman. So speed. there is no stupid questions -screw the other other guys on those other boards.

  13. LOL You guys kill me. Dont let anyone kid ya though. My garage has more stuff in it than most tackle shops. I buy stuff like everyone else. I support the industry. I have looked at the other liures and say Hmmm if I do this and maybe this -it would be better. Necessity is the mother of invention. I atttribute most of it to working with Tim Simos www.bluewaterimages.net for years. Tim is one of the worlds most renowned underwater photographers. We all kinda have this preconcieved theory or notion of whats happening underwater with both fish and lures. When you go under there and really see whats happening it will blow you away. You will change the way you fish forever. Its like when you go fishing with a theory of what you are going to do. erase that-just go and let the fish tell you what they want and how they want it.
  14. Let me say something in response to this. There has been numerous negative comments about the Evolution jig-Oh its a gimmic-Oh its to expensive- A jig is a jig -is a jig. I have heard them all. I am a fisherman first and human as well. At a time in my life I had learned a saying "watch and learn and have patience". Do not be so hasty to judge. For the Evolution Jig and our other products. Believe me people come back and shake my hand and say I appologize for the negative comments. I say no problem-I have been there. Once they gain confidence in a product -weather its ours or anyone elses its tough to do without that product. You should see the hysteria when they are down to the last sqeeze of MegaStrike in their tube. LOL -Talk about Jones-N- Confidence on the water is the most important factor. No offense takin bassectomy-We are here to help fishermen catch more fish. The Evo jig is really revolutionary if you look at it and understand the concept-Its simple. The worst thing we can do as human beings and fishermen is close our minds. Ok if you need to order skirts-just call us. I will get you everything you need. As for changing skirts. just take the old one off-put a needlenose pliers through the rubber band collar-(use the thinest needlenose you can find.)take some megastrike or any type of lube and put it on the head -if you dont you might scratch the paint.Slide the collar over the head. It will be tough until you get the hang of it. Slowly remove the pliers. Adjust the skirt so it is a straight 180degre line across. there should be no skirt material underneath the fulcrum(skidplate) anything underneath is wasted when its laying on the bottom of the lake. Then you actually have twice as much skirt material where it is most warranted. We have black skirts on all sizes of the Evolution Jigs. The worm I use on the Shak-e2 is the regular Zoom Finesse worm. My favorite is watermelon with the chartreuse tail.I also use the Yamamoto cut tails. Believe me -when fishermen really grasp the concept of the Shak-E 2 Head. All other heads will become obsolete. Thanks ,Bobby @Megastrike
  15. In reality -despite what most believe- The buzzbait can be and is one of the most universal baits a fisherman can use. It is great for active fish . It can be used for quickly covering water . Usually the first 2 hours of every tournament, I as well as other anglers throw a buzzbait. It catches little fish and big fish. I have personally caught bass the size of the buzzbait itself. When that happens I always go back to that saying"If a bass could grow to be 100 lbs-you would never want to go swimming in a lake again" A human swimming is the ultimate buzzbait LOL. It can be used for fishing the heaviest cover-most are pretty weedless-and it can be used in open water situations. Depending on the clarity of the water, bass can come from 30 ft to attack the bait. Buzzbaits can also entice aggression strikes or reaction strikes from inactive bass. They can be some of the most violent strikes that will have you wet your pants. Basically I try to find any of these two combinations together on the water-weeds-wood-rock. Those are components for holding fish. any of the two together ='s fish-all three together ='s a great day. Throwing a buzzbait over weeds is a blast-no punn intended- In and around rocks are great ambush points-Lilly pads are also great buzzbait fishing spots. Target the outside edges. Throw it right on top and drag the bait off and hold on. Most strikes come as soon as the bait surfaces. When targeting stumps or logs -dont be afraid to bump the wood. Sometimes that causes the bass to strike out of reaction. Once the water hits the 60 degree range in the spring is when I start throwing them. In the fall -the temp can drop to the low 50's and you can still catch the heck out of them. Bright bluebird skies(high pressure) or cloudy days, the buzzbait is one of the most universal baits for catching bass.- what the heck www.cavitronlures.com take a look
  16. You can use both models for for swimming. The finesse of course is a smaller profile and you can use just a small twistertail type trailer. The one I and other anglers use is the Heavy Cover in white. You can add a "sassy shad" type tail or you can use a single grug type trailer. Like I said the Heavy Cover Evolution Jigs beauty is that the hook and weedguard are concealed. It has a thick skirt and moves a lot of water. There is no better swim jig. The finesse jig I use for clear water conditions when downsizing is more productive.
  17. Just so you know -there are Two(2) Evolution Jigs per pack
  18. First I would like to say thank you for kind words. Now I would like to say a few words about our products. When the Evolution Jig first came out everyone thought this might be some kind of gimmic. That couldnt be any further from the truth. The Evolution Jig is a very -very well thought out and innovative lure. Whats happening now is fishermen are gaining confidence in the Jig. We are selling residual orders to the guys that are using them religiously. The Evolution Jig that is really starting to smoke is the "White Swimming Jig" There is no better swim jig made. The secret is the skirt is in front of the weedguard . It conceals the components like the hook and weedguard. It looks like a shad or baitfish swimming. Put a little 4' swimtail on it and its over. The bass hit it like a spinnerbait rather than a jig. There is also no better bed fishing jig than the White Evolution Jig. The bass cant stand that thing antagonizing them on the beds. They whack it. All ya have to do is pitch it on there and give it slack. The claws raise in the defensive posture(on the beds I believe it is a offensive posture) The bass do not want anything that looks aggressive on their beds. Those Jigs are the best of the best . Ok I am going to go out on a limb here . Just to prove it. I want to get you guys to try these. If you call in the order -(732-780-7383) I will give you a BFR discount. I will sell the "White Evolution Swim Jigs For $7.50 ea. Thats 25% off. As for the MegaStrike . Its the best . Take care Bobby@MegaStrike

  20. Hello Everyone. I know I havent been here in a long time but we have been very busy. First I would like to thank everyone for their continued support of Megastrike Fishing Products. Now I would like to say that the New Shak-E2 Heads are now available at fine tackle shops around the country. These newly designed heads have been the talk of every show we demonstrated them at this new season. We were the talk of the Henry's Show(who are the largest fishing tackle distributors in the country) as well as the Fred Hall Show in Ca. Tackle Tour (www.tackletour.com) wrote us up as best new product in the show. They have pics on their website. When we were doing some filming with some "shakey heads" last summer. We really didnt notice anything spectacular about the heads themselves. It was more of a "technique" rather than the head. The only real component difference was the 60 or 90 degree bend in the hook eye placement to give the bait a horizontal presentaion while swimming or jigging. When the bait was dragged along the bottom, contrary to what we preceive ,the baits never stand up .They rolled on their sides and layed there .When we were filming-the baits that stood upright, with the tails or claws upright got bite more often. The new shak-E2 Heads are very unique in design. While swimming a bait-the fulcrum acts like a crankbait lip giving the bait a lot of vibration. The bend in the eye location gives the bait a horizontal presentation while swimming or jigging. The New shak-E2 Head gives you two options to rig the bait -either weedless or exposed hook for open water situations. The beauty of it lies in the fulcrum system. No matter how the bait hits the bottom-it will land in the upright position every time. When you drag the bait along the bottom. It will roll foward to the upright position every time(unless you put a huge bait on the back). It has a football head in front to give it stability from rolling on its side. The eye is recessed to deter snags. It comes in sizes from 3/16 to 1/2 oz. The head is so universal it can be used for flipping mats of grass ,skipping docks, pitching laydowns and brush piles. There is no longer a need to use a separate weight and hook. It is all self contained. It truely is one of the most unique and universal heads ever created. Here are some pics-just click on the Shak-E2 line and view the pictures. You can get close up shots by downloading the 300 DPI images. Thanks again for your time. Bobby@MegaStrike PS They retail for $4.95 a pk of 4. http://lineart.redshad.com/

  22. This new design in Shakey Style heads could be the greatest most universal head ever designed. We have put a great amount of thought and R&D on this head. There are basically two types of "shakey styles or techniques".One is to fish the bait horizontally usually with a 60 or 90 degree bend in the hookeye.Keeping the bait parallel to the bottom. That is used for suspended bass. The other is to fish smaller finesse baits on the bottom.Swimming them at first then letting them land on the bottom or drag them along the bottom. The New Shak-E 2 Head gives the angler the best of both worlds. For those that have seen this New Shak-E2 design at the resent shows-all agree it is very functional. The head will always land in the upright position .It will raise the worm ,craw or whatever you are using in the stand up position. When you drag it along the bottom it will lay down then roll foward into the upright position. The head gives you 2 ways to rig it.On the spike keeper behind the head for weedless applications or exposed hook for open water applications. The football head in front gives it stablility from falling over on its side. The eye of the hook is buried in the head to help it from getting snags. This head can be used for "Shakey Style" fishing. It can also be used for pitching into mats of grass. it can be used for skipping docks or flipping into heavy cover. It is a self contained unit . It pretty much does it all. Look at these pictures. sizes and colors. Click on this site and go to Shak-E2 line and click -to enlarge. You can click on the download red line. Thanks guys Bobby@MegaStrike http://lineart.redshad.com/ click on this site to see pics
