Alabamabassmaster--Wow that hurt -thats a long screen name- I have 4 favorite colors- BlacknBlue is my number one color . I throw it 85% of the time. Next in my green pumpkin-I have 3 different colors in there-green pumpkin/green pumpkin barbed wire and always highlight it with a little shimmering olive. #3 peanut butter n jelly. Nobody has the color PB&J we have . Next its the fall craw -which is a dark greenpumpkin and red flake.I pair that up wit a green pumpkin Yamamoto twintail. go to www.evolutionlure.com go to products -it will drop down and show you all of the colors. I truely believe colors sell fishermen more than bass. I know how the color spectrum works underwater-I know the molting paterns of crayfish-(Colorwise by species and water clarities)-There are only certain colors you will need. the rest is seling fishermen. Just like our cavitron buzzbaits- black-low light conditions--white you can throw all day--chartreuse -muddy water--chart/hwite stained water and the ghost minnow-(shad pattern ) clear water. The rest of the colors ar basically unnecessary.

KB- The most under used buzzbait -the 1/8th oz. When I go out fishing -especially in the dead of summer-when there isnt a ripple on the water. You can look around clumps of weeds and see small baitfish in the holes-A 1/4 oz or 3/8 dosent look natural and often deters strikes under these conditions. I throw the 1/8 Cavitron on 10 lb test-6 1/2ft medheavy rod. The bait wakes across the surface -poses no threat and is often just slurped under. The problems I have had with smaller buzzbait and losing fish was the size of the hooks. I put a big ol Gamakatsu hook on there and I rarely lose a fish. The smaller hooks dont have the hookup ratio as the bigger hooks. I have caught 5-6-7 lb bass on these. If you try them and dont like them I will buy them back-thats how much confidence I have in our baits and thats how we do business at Megastrike. PenName Teria- Did you say you noticed a wobble while lifting that head, When were were testiing the head we noticed that the fulcrum part was actually acting like a crankbait bill. I showed this to the photographer and my guys I work with. It did give a wobble. I might do some tinkering to make it give off more vibration- When my guys had seen that head do that . -Jim said we havent even tapped the full potential of that head.

Zel, I think you have been sniffing the MegaStrike a little to much lately. I said what the heck is he talking about and then I made one of your rigs. That is actually a good looking rig- I think I have you in the top five so far. As for the knots-I use10 lb test and use a polomar knot- I am 46 and i cant do it without my glasses -so I know where you are with this

Just got a letter in the mail saying non-renewal- So I says HMMMMM -Let me call - My 2005 triton 21x had a MegaStrike wrap on it - policy was about $670 a year. I sold that one to a prostaffer of mine -My 2006 does not have a wrap on it- I went through the BS of talking to people then they said "you were dropped because you have a business decal on your boat" I said what does that mean. They said" we believe you are using it commercially". I said no -it is owned by me privately. They said we believe you are using it commercially- I said just because you use a decal or wrap dosent mean that--I asked to be sent to the person in charge -she said hold on and then disconnected--I called back and said that person isnt in right now and will call me back-so far no call- I just guess i will give someone else my money-The next time I see a Gecko- your getting sqwashed LOL

I caught them on this style rig yesterday on a rip rap wall. I do not recommend this rig in any type of weed or cover-EXPOSED HOOK DUH but it was working great on the bass on this rocky wall-didnt lose a rig. This was used on the 3/16 head-I want to try it on the 3/8 or 1/2 in real deep water

We are here to help the new anglers catch more fish(we all know if you arent catching it sucks LOL)and to possibly show seasoned anglers -new options. Basspaddler-Thanks to all of the guys who responded to the post- and the kind words about Cavitron. There are some really good buzzbaits on the market. What I find in buzzbait fishing as well as all other fishing is technique. Do something a little different -such as the retrieve. just like with spinnerbaits -crankbaits-worming-flukeing-Just do something different-be erratic-think outside the box. I find that by doing something different will often provoke a strike. What I do with buzzbaits is see if they want it slow ,fast, erratic you have to find the code.When fishing in the back of the boat -especially in a tournament-I cant tell you how many times I would tick off the guy in front using the same bait but just doing something different with it..You can out catch him at any given time. With buzzbaits and all other baits-let the fish tell you how they want it-try different techiniques. If you do the same old thing-you will have the same old results. sometimes thats good but most of the time you can put a few more fish in the boat doing something a little different-especially in a tournament-Try popping the buzzbait every 10 feet. Just give it a little snap of the rod tip and man I cant tell you how many times I have caught a fish by doing that. Bass are opportunists. I truely believe that the bass think another bass missed that bait and it attacks it out of greed. Its buzzbait time-the most vicious strikes I have ever gotten have been on buzzbaits. No matter what brand you buy-you will have a blast- Oh crap i Just got my new catch phrase for cavitron -picture it in the commercial-Buy a cavitron and have a blast-while the bass blows up on it- Ive got to get the hell out of here. For the guys who received the samples-Ya know I was just thinking. I wrote a little post below and came up with an idea. (O NO) I was up at Lake Champlain last weekend. Of course I brought my arsenal of lures.-(50 lb bag). But what I wanted to do was concentrate on was the new Shak-e 2 Head. . Listen I know its fun catching bass. Up there you can catch bass after bass after bass-BUT if you are not learning anything by experimenting -There really isnt much of a challenge to it. Remember its not the kill-its the thrill of the hunt. Its learning a new technique that you can possibly apply another day to another fishing situation. So I broke out the Shak-e2. I have used a lot of different techniques with that head. Finesse worms-sweet beavers., craws,even senkos- smaller swimbaits-tubes-I just kept comming up with new stuff to put on the head. Actually whatever I had in my bag is what I rigged on. I used it hopping,swimming,putting it on beds,skipping snagged 20 ft up in a tree-you name it I did it. NOW. for you guys that have them. Tell me and others how you used the new Shak-e2 head-Something different-unique -maybe I am overlooking a new style- list them here and tell us what you did different and caught a fish- Ok here is what I am going to do- I will take the top 5 new techniques(I want pictures) -the top five guys with new styles gets 5 packs of the new Shak-E2s ($25 value) be honest like I said if you dont learn something -what fun is it-See what you come up with- thats 5 winners that get 5 packs each.Thanks Bobby

I was up at Lake Champlain for the weekend.I was rigging everything you could possibly put on a head up there. Tubes ,worms,sassy shads type baits.I wanted to try to use that head every way possible.When a new bait comes out-no matter who the manufacturer is -I want to master that bait(LOL). Go and try different baits and techniques for it. See what you come up with.

Its all about giving back. We have a good marketing strategy-Create the demand for the products. If you have the greatest product in the world and nobody knows about it-ITS WORTHLESS- We create great products and ideas here at MegaStrike. We dont have the millions and millions of dollars to put into magazine ads. Yes as always production takes longer. We had some of them finished -The samples went to dealers ect . We have been filling orders and I dont know where the older emails went-so I re -upt on the offer.
