  1. HMMM better rephrase that CWB
  2. Will it catch fish-Yes- Thats only because of the action of the crankbait. I have done a descent amount of testing with "Lasers" a few years ago. This again is only my opinion but the bait and the laser are not set up correctly. Four years ago I wanted to design a lure with a" Red Laser" - one that is functional and will provoke a strike- There is only one or two baits which will optimise the use of a laser though. :Like i said just my opinion.
  3. Like I tell everyone who we take fishing. "Watch And Learn" Take a plastic bait ,Jig or whatever you are using-bend the hook so you cant hook the fish-add some Magic Goo on there- fish with the bait til you feel the strike-let me know how long he swims with that bait in his mouth- It holds on so long that even the most novice of anglers can detect the strikes and set the hook. Its great for the kids to go fishing with. If they aren't catching-its a nightmare. There has been a few times that I can reel them in and flip them in the boat because they swallowed it. There is an outdoor writer named JT Bagwell that wrote about the same experience that happened to him while using it . He is on Yamamotos Pro Staff. As for shelf life-You can give it to your grandchildren's grandchildren.
  4. Just remember -when that Yamamoto product is gone -its gone- we sent skids upon skids to the Yamamoto Plant and it out of stock now
  5. THATS IT I QUIT !!!!!
  6. If the bait has to much weight forward-then you have to go to a heavier weight Shake2. If the plastic overhangs the back past the bend of the hook-it should raise forward every time. I have put 8 in lizards as well as 10in worms on them.Even on the baits that are weighted forward-it will always land upright when it hits the bottom. Its what I want when flippng mats of grass ect.. I have tried plastic baits from different vendors and they all seem to work a little differently. that is due to the consistency of their plastic. each one is a little different.Experiment with different baits, weights and sizes, different bottom compositions ect. You will find your nitch.
  7. Going to try the cavitron today 5 /12 for the first time this year-well caught one about 2 weeks ago. water is in the upper 60's I will post the results.
  8. Here are some was of rigging larger baits on the Shak e2. I havent had any issues with the hooks coming through the plastics. Either weedless or exposed. The Shak E2 on the swimbaits have a very unique action because of the lip(fulcrum). I have been using them on the bed fishing technique-The nose down effect really ticks the bass off. That beaver on the Shak E2 offers a smaller profile than on a full bodied jig. great for rock or bluff fishing-It is also great for flipping weeds and brush click on the http http://www.redshad.com/4Lee/
  9. They are out at the photographers now. I will say this -I cannot prove that you will provoke more strikes with it but I can say you wont lose as many fish compaired to other spinnerbaits. Like I said when i get the pics -i will explain the theory and function behind it. There is no absolulte control when testing these type of baits.
  10. Well it took me almost a year to complete the project. I wanted to do something functional to the average "HO HUM" spinnerbait. I believe I did.I was field testing them with Roland and here locally in NJ . I think I have something pretty cool here that is functional. I think that all of the guys here at Bass Resource have backed me and my products since we have begun . You all know that I have given you guys first shots of the first 20 giveaways. Everyone that has seen them says"Yea that 'll work". This week I will post pics and explain the bait. Then I will start the giveaways. these baby's are sharp/ Thanks Bobby@Megastrike.. The official release will be ICAST2009
  11. Let me tell you-that 3/8 oz and a sweet beever is a killa technique. That swimbait also--swim it back and kill it.. I have caught them on the beds when the bass are spawning- I take a bluegill type bait and bring it through the bed-then kill it(stop it) on the bed -it goes nose down on the bed and the bass smack it. Give it slack and the tail raises up like its feeding-Great technique.
  12. Here check out these applications http://www.redshad.com/4Lee/ .
  13. The 3/16 and 1/4 oz are the most popular sizes BUt you can use any size with any style bait
  14. If you look at the Cavitrons business end of the bait-(hook) you will notice when we designed it-we moved the hook back as far as we could. We over sized the hook one size(i love bigger hooks) The reason for this was to try to make the length of the hook protrude as far as we could from the head of the bait or should I say body of the bait without throwing it out of balance- being to heavy on the back end. The reason was to eliminate the need for a trailer hook. The trailer hook when not applied properly can cause the bait to run untrue(turn to the left or right). It actually acts like a rudder. I know bass hit buzzbaits for several different reasons-food-aggression ect. I could never say that my hook up ratio was 50/50. I would have to say it was in the upper 90 % range yes upper. BUT. I am no fool. -when I am tournament fishing and the money is on the line-I ADD A SMALLER TAILER HOOK TO THE BAIT- tournaments are won and lost by ounces-One missed fish is all it takes. DO NOT OR RATHER SAY I DO NOT TAKE THAT CHANCE. Just take a small piece of surgical tubing- snip a small piece-slip the eye of the trailer hook into it-then lubricate the buzzbait hook point and slide it over it. I don't like it freestyling. I like it tight so I can keep the trailer hook in line with the main hook. When I am fun fishing I do not use a trailer.hook-I do not want the fish to swallow it and get harmed. see if that helps www.megastrike.com or ***s store to order.
  15. I havent been out fishing much yet this year but I caught my first bass on a cavitron the other night. It was about 8 pm on a 80 degree day -water was 67 along a stone wall. Usually I can get them earlier than this.I have caught them in lakes with springtime water temps at 52 degrees. The prime water temp for buzzbaits is when its in the 70's. bass are feeding and its the funnest way to catch them in my opinion.
  16. Uh!!! Maybe Spanky and his dad were using fishing tackle - What do you think. Ya YUTZ !!! Theres always one.
  17. It was written by Spanky SC on the general discussion topics- I hope you read it and agree. Life is short/ do the right thing- Thanks for opening up and giving back.
  18. I believe that air-born molecules and water born taste/smell molecules are different. I believe they react differently under water. "drowned out" Some go undetected. I do believe that the smell and taste receptors are one in the same with fish.. I believe that the molecules are interpreted in different ways with different species by both land and water creatures. Fish like certain flavors/we like certain flavors. Some we like in common and some not.Give them the natural foods that are from their natural environment that they have genetically been using for millions of years.
  19. One of the best pre tournament techniques I and OTHERS I have fished with use is-MegaStrike on baits with bent hooks. I bend hooks on worms /jigs/shakE's ect. My philosophy on this is I can get the fish to hit/ hold on to the baits and feel the quality of the fish and never sting them. I have watched tournament fishermen for years sore mouth fish to death the day or days before a tournament. The next day they go to their sports and usually convince me to go with them only to blank there. Just get a bait /hook and bend it up so you cant hook the fish. put some goo on there and just go fishing. If ya get bit-just reel them in and shake them off. There is a good chance they will be there tomorrow when ya need him./her. Same deal with cranks/buzzbaits and spinnerbaits.
  20. I had sent some tubes to the guys and girls that went to the Bass Resource road trip. Hope you guys get to try it.
  21. I just sent out my stimulus package for the guys and girls going to Kentucky Lake for the Bass Resource road trip. Use them well and hope you all have a great time. Listen you knuckleheads-B CAREFUL-no accidents-wear your life jackets- the water is still cold.I dont want to hear of any mishaps. thank you for your support
  22. He is the Ralph Cramden of fishing-
  23. PUT IT IN THE LIVEWELL
  24. better use braid-cause its going to abuse your mono rubbing againt the pilings ect. Especially if they have zebra mussles on them. just my 3 cents
  25. Okie- believe me I have gone through this many times before . I am not hiding anything here. I try to state as much fact as I can without giving away trade secrets. I have stated previously that the reason I didn't patent Megastrike was when you patent something you tell the world what you are doing. If i give out one hint on a public forum it could open up a can of worms larger than the one we opened here. Therefore having a larger company or other smaller companies take the technology and use it to bid against myself. It makes no sense. There was a great commercial about two years ago that these corporate headhunters tried to get this gentleman to give them the information he developed. His response was "Hire me and I will tell you" I take it he got the job. As one answer- the oil molecules I was talking about that other companies use are certain fish oils.NOT THE CARRIER BASE. these are the molecules that group up or coagulate together. The oil slick that you see on the water after spraying an "attractant" pretty much bind together. The secret is to break them up. Ok I'm done. how bout those bears.
