HMMM. The whole idea is to catch as many fish as possible and to increase your catch ratios.. Listed above are the variables for spinner baits and buzz baits -now throw into that equation how many more fish would hit or strike another bait like a crank bait ,worm, jig ect that wouldn't hit those buzz baits or spinner baits. There are endless combinations of components that can be changed to increase your catch -as Catt stated -only the bass really knows what they want at that particular time, and condition. Then you have to factor in those conditions-weather-barometric pressure -how aggressive the fish are-striking out of hunger or aggression.. Its a puzzle-the angler that puts the pieces of the puzzle together better or fine tunes it has the best results.. I find when an anglers strongest style of fishing fits that scenario he does well-BUT the anglers who can also adapt to the change also do well- the guys that cant adapt- not so good. Thats why when you go down the isle of the tackle shop you see so many styles and configurations of baits- they will all catch fish under certain conditions. think about the fish you caught -now think about the fish you could have caught.

When I was diving I would often see "cookie cutters"-schools of bass together -all about the same size- Juveniles-(12 inchers) 2/3 lbrs together and then some bigger ones together (4 lbs). What I did notice though was fish over 6 lbs were usually rogues. They were by themselves. Maybe another one with them but not like the smaller ones that were anywhere from 6 to 30 fish in a school. The big fish seemed to be loners.

REMEMBER- This was shot in a swimming pool.The first part of the clip is working it on the surface-picture that over the weeds -with some hungry bass lurking in the holes. The second part of the clip is about 3 feet under the surface. What you cant really see there is when the bait stops and falls-all of the ends of the bait is shimmering or quivering like a dieing prey. This like i said replaced my frogs this weekend over the mats of grass.They were just busting it. I have also been using it just before it gets dark. This is also a killer night time bait. I can cast the WING DING on 17lb test 50 60 feet-I have no hookup problems. Here is another advantage-We created a blend of plastic that is very durable-Salt is added to give it weight. They DO NOT FALL APART after a fish or two. I have caught over 20 bass on one WING DING-MORE BASS FOR THE BUCK LOL

Watch and learn-The bass try to kill that thing-ding wing- you know what I mean. On top of weeds -pads, wood-I was throwing it under bridges and the bass just destroyed it. They might have thought it was a bird falling out of a nest. It was getting smashed when the dragon flies were around this weekend. It has all types of triggering qualities. I looked at the field for the FLW Forrest wood Cup. Ive got to tell ya -Ive got my money on Ike-I think this is going to be where he shines.It totally fits into his style of fishing.He will be able to adapt from power fishing -crank baits ect to drop shotting . Im telling you its going to play right into his hand.People can yack all they want about the 5 lb bags that are weighed but I was there in 2005 . That was the most exciting weigh in ever. One missed fish was the difference between winning and losing. Aaron Martins pretty much said it all when he dropped to his knees and did the death roll. Ya must fish flawlessly .When guys are fishing big fish waters -one bad day and you are out of it. Here you can zero one day -catch 10 lbs on the next and be leading the tournament. I had made some really potent batches when we introduced the New Formula. That product actually works the best but it does have an odor. I am going to send a bunch of it up to the deadliest catch guys and put it in their traps and see what happens.

The WingDing has a built in wacky rig. You rig it just like a Texas rig StrickBait- Throw it our and twitch it. I have had zero hook up issues with this bait. Im going to the pool to see if glenn can get a video on here BRB

That wingDing is the hybrid of the stick baits. I have been using it for two years. I use it to replace all kinds of other plastics. This weekend I used it to replace a rat. I was in Vermont throwing it with a 5/O Gamakatsu over weeds. When you pull it ,the bait swims its way over weeds creating a huge wake. It displaces water greater than any frog with a lot of action.The bass were attacking it to kill it. The first time I started using it I said "it looks like a injured bait fish-then a bird or small animal". Then I had seen where it really shines. This weekend there were tons of dragon flies there. That's what they were smashing . They thought it was a dragon fly. I was pulling it off of the lily pads and they were busting it. It and I haven't found its full potential yet. I promise this bait is awesome though. It gives the weedless application of a stick bait with the action of a wacky rig.It is great for throwing into the wood-skipt under docks -lily pad fields or mats of grass. I even Carolina rigged it.everyone that has seen me with it says "that's the stupidest thing I have ever seen- I say"just watch and learn.

It would be like the wicked witch on the front of the boat deck-IM MELTING ,MELTING It was freakn hot- Ive been to Vegas at 116 degrees numerous times and it was hotter in FL with the humidity. As for the knuckleheads in vegas that say OH IT 'S A DRY HEAT- HOT IS HOT dry heat my a$$$$$$ LOL

Well I finally got in the door and put up my feet. I am glad its over . You want to talk about hot-Holy Crap-I dont know how you guys live down there!!! What a show. I thought the company's there were going to go easy for the reason of the economy-Nope! What I did see there was a lot of the big company's did scale down booth size.A lot of great products. I got to meet BIG O again and let me tell you he was a class act. He really does have some great products. It was good to see some of the guys from Bass Resource there also.Every time they came by half the stuff was missn off our table -whats up with that>>>/??? We had more press from writers than any other year. They are starving for something new and boy did we give it to them this year. The New Strike Back Spinner Bait was praised by everyone that came by to see it. The New Megastrike Plastics were also smokin with write ups. The New Wing Ding was incredible and so was the MegaDog and MegaBug. The highlight of the week was!!!!! Going out to dinner with our Hero GLENN- Founder of Bass Resource and Gene FlukeBoy. We ended up at the wrong restaurant with 14 of us. Boy are we glad that we did. I rate it as one of the top 5 meals I have ever had in my life. What made it great was not only the quality of food but it was everyone at the table. The best you could imagine. The only thing that really really sucked is we had our boat and truck outside the hotel and the last night some low life scumbag stole our prop. I would like to thank Glenn and Gene for a great time and everyone else that showed up. It was a great time had by all.

Just learn to adapt to the fishing conditions thats all. Do blame the messenger and dont shoot the piano player. If you like a product buy it if not -like Howard Stern says -change the station.
