We have spent a lot of time learning about how fish see underwater. They see using the UV spectrum. Light dissipates under water governed by sun light and water clarity at certain depths and the fish rely on seeing objects in the UV spectrum. We have learned this technology from the leaders in the industry and applied this technology to our soft plastic baits. What that means is the fish can see the baits under lower light conditions than without the UV enhancement. If the fish can find the bait by sight easier-that will result in more catch able/caught fish. Here are some picture of some soft plastic baits we just made for our European customers. The first two are UV enhanced and the third is what we see-

I will beg to differ-I have an ingredient in MegaStrike that is a fish feeding stimulant. When tested in tanks bass swim in an erratic manner with sharp turns. Also the bass are looking up and down which the fisheries biologist concluded that these are feeding mode characteristics. Being that this ingredient is water soluble and disperses quite quickly it encouraging/stimulates feeding. What it is actually doing is chumming the area. When I hear anglers being skeptical of weather "fish Attractants " work or not-there is no doubt in my mind or the biologists. There are other variables that hinder this positive reaction amongst fisherman. My expert opinion is that the anglers work the baits to fast and move location of the baits even faster. Of coarse the fish have to be there as well. Thats why rapid dispersion "attractants are necessary but also need a carrier for the attractant to bond or not exhaust itself to rapidly -thus leaving no "attractant" on the baits themselves.There has to be a happy median. Good dispersion rate and longevity. I try to have both. I am very reluctant to give my sources and data for fear of theft of information. Its why I never patented "MegaStrike" Its called a "Trade Secret" Same reason Coke is not patented. For those who have seen my demonstrations at ICAST and other shows around the country-I leave you with no doubt of its effectiveness.

I have had many emails about the MegaTube and how its designed. I cut it in half and rigged it to show that the butt end is solid for the first 1/2 inch. It works well with the pro model screw lock shakey head as well as a Texas rig set up. The body is hollow and the hook slides easily through it with very little resistance upon the hook set. I rig it Texposed in picture #2 to show you where the hook sits in the segmented part of the craws shell. I have had no/zero/nada/ issues with hook sets on this tube . I designed the butt part the last 1/2 inch of it to be solid -It was designed that way to hold the screw lock shakeys and the Texas rigged hooks better.

I have told people for almost 20 years -If you see what I see underwater you will never fish the same way again. I have watched fish expel baits faster than you could ever set a hook. I filmed bass assassins and slugos years ago and the bass would inhale a bait and expel it in-between jerks. Absolutely amazing . SERIOUSLY when you put the Megastrike in it-they would grab it and swim away with the baits. The first thing they do is go to deeper water. they are careful not to let another predator take their catch away. That was their sanctuary. When they inhale the baits that's when you just feel your line get tight or your line moving to one side. I was down at the FLW championship showing the same technique- Its a no brainer you need a bait to have flavor . When we bent the hooks on crank baits and Pop R's we applied megastrike to them -the bass would hit them over and over -if they didn't have mega on it they would hit it once and rarely come back again. It didn't register to their gustation and olfactory senses that it was food.The product costs 1/2 of a penny per application -The cheapest for of insurance and confidence you can buy.

I know a lot of you have been emailing and calling about the New Megastrike Products. Well here is some insight of what is going on. We have been manufacturing our plastics with other injection companies and decided that we are going to manufacture our own plastic baits from now on. We had a custom made /state of the art-computerized machine built for us. It took 5 1/.2 months to build and you don't even want to know the cost/ Reason is, we are injecting some new Megastrike formula into the plastisols .We didn't want anyone to know what we are adding and wanted to keep it under wraps.. We are using the highest quality /grade plastisol money can buy. Nothing like the overseas products that most companies are using. Super soft and durable. We can build them as we need them now-If we want 2000 baits of a certain type or color -we build them. It also keeps inventory down. We can have so many colors now are our disposal. Before we had to wait a month for a sample of a color -now -we get it in a few hours. We can have greater more efficient quality control of all the products. Another new addition to my baits is I spent a lot of time learning about how fish see in the UV spectrum. Its actually pretty intense. We contacted a company that is on the cutting edge of this technology and we will be adding the UV additive to all of our baits shortly. We acquired our second warehouse because we are rapidly running out of space. Oh and just for your entertainment as well we figured out how to ad the UV formula to our Megastrike fish attractant as well. OH now that's bangin. So that's just a small announcement of what is in our near future. We will be pouring baits this week. We just got our new compressor in and the electrician just left and wired everything up so I will keep you informed. thank you again for supporting our products..

When I was diving I notice that the schools of fish had a particular size of fish to them. possible theory was they are from the same season hatch. Meaning the little bass stayed with the little bass -1-2 lbrs- the 3-4lbrs were the same but the big bass 5-6 lbrs were together as well-Funny thing was the samller bass had more fish in the school --the medium had less and the bigguns had even fewer but they were uniformed in size. That's why anglers catch one and 2 lbrs they get a limit and get the heck out of there to find the "mega School" no pun intended.

Power shakin

I have heard the phrase "power shaking" being used lately and it is really been a secret weapon for many bass fishermen fishing offshore structure.. I first started what I call "Mega Shakn" when I started fishing real deep structure a few years ago- anything over 20 ft is the mark I look for . What it is -I am using a 3/4 oz shakey 2 head-EWG hooks and using larger baits on them like 10 inch worms-mega bugs and other large baits(using the word mega -not to plug our baits but that is the real names of them) to entice big fish into biting. BIG FISH LIVE DEEP- There was an article in Bass Master magazine last year titled "Power Shaking"-explaining these techniques and I was asked to contribute. I have gotten numerous call from anglers -both professional and weekenders as well as guides on lakes like Falcon-Kentucky-Fork Amistad as well as Mexican Big Bass lakes looking for large shakey heads to use this technique for big bass that live deep. Let me tell you if you are not using this technique you are missing out on some really good fishing. Here is a technique I have been using to crush bass that live deep-I have used this before and yesterday I was put in a situation where it paid off big time. I was fishing in a cove. I was fishing on a flat and there was another flat across from me. It had a trough that runs through the middle of it -old creek channel. The trough was deep.Mind you I was fishing from shore- I knew that the drop off was about 40 or so yards offshore. I knew that's where the bass sit til its time to move up to feed. I couldn't reach it with any of my lighter tackle so I waded out til the boys were chilled--Castanza- LOL.. I said the only way I can cast that far is with a 3/4 oz shakey head. I used a 4 inch fat shad and rigged it exposed hook. I had a 7 ft med heavy rod and 14 lb test on my Shimano bait caster. I whipped this bait as hard as I could -sometimes I hit the channel sometimes I was short. Never got bit outside of the channel. I waded in deeper and knew when I hit the channel-there was no grass in it. I let it hit the bottom and started cranking- I caught 5 fish in six casts in that trough and moved around to pick up another here and there. I also let it sit on the bottom just shaking it and fish picked it up while it was just sitting. It was a day saver-I threw several other baits and it just wasn't happening. That big ol shakey with that swimbait was the trick to making an unproductive trip one that made my day. The most important thing was I didn't give up. I stayed and figured out a way to catch them. Give those big ol shakeys a try. it could be the difference between a good day and a great day.

The natural craw color is great -the green pumkin is my second choice. I have texas rigged them before but seriously since Ive put them on the shakey head-cant be beat.

Poor guy

Hasn't this guy learned his lesson yet. This "LEGEND" of Bass Fishing has the audacity to call me up Friday and invite me--yes ME to film another television show with him down in Alabama- Sheesh dosent this guy know what hes in for. Every time we get together its pure mayhem. A few years back I spent two days with him in his boat practicing for a Bass Masters tournament.. The next night at the pairings meeting I hear Trip Weldon yell out=ROLAND MARTIN -CLEWISTON FLORIDA --and Bobby Uhrig -Freehold New Jersey.. Roland stood up in the middle of the pairings meeting and said I QUIT--I aint putting up with him in the boat for another day and walked out of the meeting. the crowd said Oh My God -what the heck is that all about.. they had no clue. Roland and I went outside and laughed our ***** off. What was the chances of that. The last show we did a few years ago was actually one of his highest rated shows he had ever had.
