  1. Sell all my stuff and take up golf
  2. Dink I live up here as well and the bass are still smacking buzzbaits at 52 degrees. As the water warms around 54 -55-56 the bass are knocking the snot out of spinner baits and just need to slow them down a bit. The other morning I was out at 48 degree water and caught over 20 bass up to 4 lbs on spinner baits in three hours. Then I had to go to work--Oh wait a minute I was at work LOL The weather got warmer this week around 65 -I was out yesterday and still managed a few in the 1/2 hour I went out DO NOIT GIVE UP YET -there is still plenty of good fishing left.
  3. Early morning and early evening is just a fallacy in my years of buzz bait fishing. I have caught bass at every time of day and night there is. High skies-rainy-hot you name it. It all depends on the daily and hourly conditions and moods of the fish. I have fished tournaments and cleaned their clocks on mid summer 100 degree days. What I do find important is to match the size of the buzz bait to the lake /wind conditions. I find the 1/4 oz gets 10 times the amount of strikes than the 3/8 when there is little or no wind/chop on the water -while the 3/8 gets more strikes when it is windy. My theories on that-Sometimes with too much wind/chop the bass don't see or hear the commotion. It gets drowned out. That's where the 3/8 larger blade/profile shines. With a smother less choppy lake surface the 1/4 oz attracts their attention and dosent get "drowned out"
  4. Im still catching bass on buzzbaits -The water temps are around 56 degrees and the bass are just slurping them down. I am catching them in less than 3 feet of water around hard cover-tree-rocks -stumps. Just casting down shorelines and reeling them in slowly and they just disappear and ya feel the weight of the fish. I am fishing the sunny side as well as wind blown banks. I can catch them on buzz baits when the temps dip down around 49 degrees-I have caught them colder but often in very shallow water. I believe its the warmest water being in the sun and the warmer water stratifies and blows with the wind.A few degrees warmer can make all the difference in the world.
  5. where do you see that?? Is it in the bargan cave/close out??
  6. Don't ruin my image speed
  7. We are adding the UV into all of our plastics now. I am even highlighting just the tails on some of them -They look great under water in the tanks.
  8. Here at Megastrike we strive to be the ”Leaders In Fishing Tackle Innovation. The products we have developed over the years include the first amino acid based fish attractant surprisingly called MegaStrike. An ICAST Best New Lure Award in 2006 for the Evolution Jig. The first articulating /jointed spinner bait that is the rave of the spinner bait fishermen. The most famous and recognized name in buzz baits THE CAVITRON Buzz Bait. The most remarkable and innovative stand up /roll forward shakey head on the market-“The Shak-E2 “ Some of the most fish catching plastic bait assortments on the market and the list is still growing. How do we invent these standout products??By loving what we do for a living. By spending over 40 years on the water as well as over 22 years diving with fish and studying them in their natural habitats . We see things that the average fisherman and designers never see or comprehend. Learning things that you cannot by sitting behind a desk eight hours a day. The water IS our office. Our new project has been understanding how fish see underwater. We learned how they smell and taste objects and prey but now we take it to the next level. We want to gather as many components to build the ultimate fish catching baits. We found that the fish see in the UV Spectrum. As color dissipates underwater by light penetration and water clarity-the UV rays do not. The fish can see these baits under very dirty/muddy water conditions as well as lower light conditions. So what we see and what the fish see are two different spectrums. We have worked with a technology company and found how we can enhance/ incorporate/infuse a UV additive to our plastic baits so that it will give the fish a better focal point in all water conditions. When the fish can find a bait easier it will strike it more often thus resulting in more catchable fish for the anglers using these sophisticated baits. MegaStrike now pours all of their own plastic baits at their manufacturing facility. We do it in house now to keep our trade secrets to ourselves. We incorporate our Megastrike Fish Attractant as well as the UV additive into our baits. We spent a lot of money purchasing our own “state of the art” plastic injection molding machine. It took almost six months to custom build and we are very proud of the design. Our molds are the best in the world. Very intricate and detailed so that every bait comes out perfect. I believe that adding Megastrike Fish Attractant and the New UV Additive to our soft plastic baits will help anglers catch fish that they normally wouldn’t catch. We are still learning every day how we can make better baits and use them to catch more fish using science When fishermen catch more fish with a product the word spreads like wildfires .Fishermen cant keep secrets –we all know that. These new baits are being rolled off the machine as we speak. Give them a try –You will be glad that you did.
  9. http://www.fieldandstream.com/blogs/field-notes/2013/10/photo-day-nj-state-record-tiger-musky People asked me about the strength of the hinge-I think it will handle a bass
  10. The only way to learn how to manipulate a bait is to take only that bait with you next time you go fishing. That way you have no choice but to learn it-The alternative is to go home -then you are a quitter and a wuss-no room in my boat for them
  11. Got some made -I will send ya some Kent
  12. If you are married or have a girlfriend -you wont have them long---Hey theres a thought
  13. I was casting out as far as I could to reach this drop off-A went in up to the boyz to get some extra distance. I throw the bait -watch the line til it goes slack (hits bottom) then just slow roll the bait off the bottom. I let the fish tell me how they want it-fast or slow. Then I mix it up with some hops and erratic actions. I went out again yesterday with the rig and banged about 25 fish. It has really become one of my go to baits. The fat shad/shakey2 Has a very unique action. In weeds or heavy cover I screw lock the baits on with the point of the hooh in the hook slot. Open water I just thread it down the shank and snug it up on the ribbed trailer keeper. They just crush them
  14. I can honestly say I dont think there are many people in this whole country that throws the buzzbait more hours in a year than me. When water temps hit 52 in the spring til the low to mid 40/s in the fall. It is a bait that I have confidence throwing 100% of the time . There are times I never put it down all day or night long . I have learned so many tricks to trigger strikes with it as well. I flip-pitch skip them under docks In the nastyest cover you could imagine-you name it Ive done it and I have anglers =pro and amature alike say" what the heck are you doiung" My answer -"WATCH AND LEARN" Tight now is prime time-Biggest fush of the year comes on the buzzbait
  15. This little guy just absolutely flat out catches fish. I have been fishing it for about 6 months and finally started production for the 2014 season This is the first one to come off the machine. Watermelon /Purple /Copper Flake/ I use this with the 1/8 -3/16 and 1/4 oz pro model shakey2 heads . The action on it is amazing. I am going out fishing tomorrow in the river. I will post pics when I get back
  16. We talked about power shakn a few times here and yesterday my buddy Mike and I went out power shakn the 4 inch fat shads. Man we got em. Took the 3/4 and 1/2 oz Shakey 2 heads -Put the 4 inch fat shads on them -exposed hook style . . Just made long casts and reeled them in slowly. Tried to keep them a foot or two off the bottom. Reeled for a bit then killed them (stopped reeling and let them hit the bottom) Occasionally I would hop them and still got the fish to hit them. Tried all different colors. The white, the smoke shad and the biggest fish came on the motor oil red flake. The water was very clear. This has become a killer rig for me and wish you guys could really see how this works. With the larger shakey heads along with the unique swimming action of the fat shad-The bass just slam them. We caught over a dozen fish and the smallest was 3 lbs It is a great technique for the fall season when bass are stocking up their fat reserves for the upcoming winter. Give them a try.
  17. I take this shad on a shakey2 head and just let it fall through the school and watch for the line movement.
  18. Nope- I am from that same scenario-The technique I use is throwing a flick shake senko type bait ( shad color or white)Counting it down and shaking it very quickly/violently- then letting it die. Its one of the only techniques that I can really count on when the bait is roaming around and the bass are underneath them. Ok Im done
  19. Cavitron Buzzbait- Nothing like it
  20. Now thats funny I dont care who ya are
  21. LOL LOL Hey Uhrig get your ass in the back of the boat LOL
  22. Let me tell ya -I was out the other day and I got some good ones on the green pumpkin tube -I was skipping them under docks and trees with a 3/16 shakey2 head-Just felt the weght and bam set the hook. Nice three and four pounders. gotta love it
  23. Tired and going to bed but this is just a sample of what we were doing- Full story tomorrow.
  24. The walleyes will tear them up. The bass will also in low light conditions as well as dirty water. UV light does not get distorted like sunlight.
  25. Night fishing is another option
