  1. Has anyone spent any time on a Legend Boat? I have been looking at one that seems to be a good deal but I have never been on one. I know that look nice, but do they run nice in rough water? Also do they seem to hold up well to abuse? I am planning on taking my boat anywere I think the fish are!
  2. Check out what i found!! These things are awesome!!!!
  3. I just bought the 798 today. I got a tutorial on all of em trying to decide what to get! The big difference is that the 798 has dual sd slots it can pick up XM weather in real time (doesnt sing but for the price it sure should) has a slightly bigger screen and the 798 can use the platnium nav. card which is kind of cool but pretty worthless in Indiana considering only like one of our lakes is done in the plat. style. Also has 50 Gps instead of 15 or 16 cant remeber so supposed to pick up GPS signal faster and higher res on screen. HOpe that helps. Chris
  4. I am trying to decide what electronics to buy. I already have a Humminbird 787c2i on my console but I need another unit. I am willing to move the 787 to the front if I were to get something nicer for the console. Does anyone have any suggetions? I really need to stay less that $1000. Is it worth the money for the side imaging? Thanks in advance for all your help!
  5. I just got back from Falcon we spent the last two weeks of Dec down there. We used 65# braid for jigs and carolina rig (20# big game liter) and 20# big game for senko ect. There is a lot of submerged bushes, tress, and other structure. Especially since the water is so high now. I wouldnt use nothing less than 20# if you into a good fish or maybe the fish of a lifetime you want to be able to get him out of all the junk! Have fun its a great lake!!
  6. This season I really worked hard to learn to crank fish. It actually paid off nicely! I ended up having one of my best years ever. I for the most part used relatively shallow diving cranks! I did really well with the Bomber model A, LuckyCraft Flat Mini, Strike King as big as a Num 6 and some bandits. This year I want to add to my cranking and learn to crank deep! I have had several friends tell me to buy hot lips. Does anyone else have any suggestions? Thank you all!
  7. I would have any problems witha 10" trick worm. I just have been catching fish on the 10" ribbon tail and why fix it i it aint broke!!!!
  8. 5/0 usually!!!
  9. Does anyone make an inexpensive 10 ribbon tail worm. I check *** and didnt see 10"ers there. I have been catching the bejesus out of fish in merky water with em but I hate paying berkeley and all the other so much money. and I would much rather support a smaller bait company when possible. I have been buying the one the wave worms make and they have been super productive!! They are a little skinnyer than the powerbaits. Please let me know!!! :-/
  10. Also, swap the hooks. quote] x2 the hoods are junk!!!
  11. The Baby 1- is one of my top 5 favorite baits. I use it alot early of a morning when most people like a top water bait. It is great for fishing over the top of shallow grass when it hangs up give it a jerk and hold on. I have had tons of strikes as soon as I jerk it free I guess from all the rucus it causes. I love Alabama Shad!!! And the ones with the glitter!!
  12. I have caught fish on both. I think you can catch fish on any jerk bait when there is a bit for it. But there has been times with the pointer that I have caught fish when nothing else is working. Great cool water bait and I have cool water fishing!!!! :'(
  13. Hey I was out there the other day and I know some real good spots. Better hope you get there before I do. What day we going up there!!
  14. Pont what do you know about Kokomo? I cant get you up here to fish it with me!! LOL I guess he know what he is talking about
  15. Suggestion: Move south. i agree with Road Warrior on this one. Got four more inches of snow last night. Thank God for ice fishing or I would be CRAZY
