  1. i have my creek company float tube. i have waders. i have my pdf, and i have the flippers.. i need to get paddles. i saw that there could be 2, one on each side or one big one similar to a kayak paddle. what are you guys using and which do you like better? any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks big country
  2. very excelent point. thanks for all the input guys
  3. i have a 10 foot aluminum john boat. got it for free, patched a decent whole and a few other leaks. since i fixed it i realy got back into fishing so next year id liketo register it and use it.. id like to put 2 seats in it but i was wondering, how exactly would i fasten them. arent the floatation foam (or whatever) in the seats? so im just wondering and dont wanna mess anything up trying to rig something up. also wasnt sure about center of gravity issues. plan on having a trolling motor with 2 battiers out back. any help will be greatly appreciated.
  4. ok i dont wanna sound like a newb but what exactly is a wake bait??
  5. excelent point!!! For starters they should seprate state, nation and international records for LMB between Florida strain and Northern strain. I find completely unfair for the people that aspire to break the LMB record when they have no opportunity to do so because Florida strain doesn 't live in their waters.
  6. I've been fishing frogs a lot this year and I found a simple trick that increased my hook up ratio significantly. I'm using hookerz 5/0 corkscrew frog hooks, Horny Toads, 20 - 50 # powerpro braid, m/h rod, baitcaster. I grab the hook right behind the barb with my needlenose pliers and bend the hook point up a few degrees. That's it! Now, the hook points slightly up instead of pointing directly back towards the coil. When I rig the frog I put the hook point just under the "skin" of the frog. So now when I set the hook it drives the hook point up, towards the bass's lip, not straight out towards the (possibly open) mouth. amen brothers, that will help me alot..
  7. i like it because you can see the structure alot better and allso see fish, ive seen his and just casted out my work a few feet behind them and drag it buy em, BANG fish on! ;D
  8. there is nothing wrong with saying you fish somewhere your not supposed to, as long as you dont say where it is.. fishing at those quarrys, and man made rock ponds are some of the BEST fishing spots for big bass and my favtorite spots to fish. if i was aloud to fish at just one of the many illegal ponds i fish at id never have to fish anywhere.. simple as that, i could be happy all year round
  9. so does the back part spin??
  10. what exactly is the benefit to the snaps on crankbait? is it because your constanly switching them, or because it gives the bait more freedom. am wondering because now that i have some crank baits, and i plan on buying some more hard baits like that, i am thinking of getting some of the clips.
  11. not to get off topic, but were you driving while making this post???
  12. ill tell ya, last year all i used were a pack of orange worms, and sunfish for bait. we have many pumpkinseed/bluegill in most lakes i fish in, we used a cast net a few times. then we would fill the bucket and fish. CAUGHT my biggest fish with sunnies. now this year i made it a pact to not realy use live bait, just want to try the real stuff and learn how to fish.
  13. i have one main box, depending on where im going and what time of day ill be there, i put certain things in a little 2 sided disc man carry bag. everyone says it looks like a purse so i gues i call it my fishing purse. but ill bring 2 rods with me and i can walk where ever, stop and tie something on then sling it back around to my back.
  14. are you serious or was thata joke??
  15. ive caught many wacky rigged from the shore
