  1. looking forward to the pics. nice story YaHoo
  2. :) i was so tired of hearing everyone tell me how good jig fishing is and how/why its the best. so i borrowed one of dads jigs and went out to the pond in the back yard. i never go midday fishing so i borrowed my dads 230$ shades and i could see everything. the first bass was sight fishing so it didnt count. But i did get to see how the jig attracted every fish near it. 1st bass was 18.5" went to the pond on the left after that and in back to back casts got 2 14" bass near a tree in the water. last fish was a warmouth. i was so mad i didnt have the camera so i went out there again until i caught something again and took a pic. i got nothing unless you want a pic of my 9 misquito bites. :'( great day. so excited about jigs. going out tommorow morning ;D
  3. 95? you guys look comfortable out there. then again if iwas on fish it might as well be 120 cuz im not goin anywhere:)
  4. we were in jacksonville florida. st johns river in about 17 feet of water throwing live shrimp. and yes we have so much shrimp at the house so we just used it as bait. we go shrimping ever other night and bring home at least a pound
  5. well we went out to the croaker hole sunday night. started out shrimping from the bay boat. got lucky and got my record 42 shrimp in one cast. it was hard to get up. so we ended up with like 7 dozen live shrimp rigged up and bait fished. something i normally dont do. so ill get on with it. 4 catfish(2-7lbers) too many stingray. (30)? and like 41 virginia croakers. good size and eatin and we caught 2 trout. of course we didnt take home all those fish. just the cats and a couple croakers but i am going to say we are gonna eat good tonight. no need for a pic so i didnt take one -YaHoo
  6. Bday was july 31. i am now 16 years old. but anyways we went fishing tuesday morning at rodman resevoir(FL) we got out there real early knowing that the rain and T-storms were coming and that we would have to get offf the water by noon. and they did come. but its alot bette then cooking out there in 93 degrees 100% humidity. so we start out just throwin rapalas. nothing so i then switch to a nichols pulstator spinnerbait. my dad who gives me the front of the boat cuz its my bday catches like 3 out of nowhere on a carolina rig. so he thinks its funny cuz hes in the back of the boat giving me my bday $^%whipping:) so i get skunked when we are on our way back to the ramp when i drop a little rapala in the wate behind the boat while we are idling up to the dock then baM like a train a nice 26.5 inch bass slams it. i land it measure it. it was my PB so it was hard not to take home but i released it. i got several pics too but i cant find the d**n camera cord. so pics coming soon. -YaHoo
  7. Give the pond a 20$ lure. That always works. JK try a trickworm in the pads. Pink Bubblegum or wacky senko? Good luck
  8. me and my dad recently had one of these days where the truck was broken into and the 3 day old satelite radio was stolen. then the trolling motor went and a rod snapped on ? some kind of fish? it was a rough day and were giving the month of july some rest. Its 100 degrees anyways. you'll do good tommorow. all your troubles mean your due for a good day:) -YaHoo
  9. thats what i thought it was. thank you guys
  10. whats a PB? ive heard so many different meanings for it? :0 -YaHoo
  11. i saw like 20 catfish on the spaning ?beds? i guess a few weeks ago. about 5 of them were the biggest fish ive ever seen swimming in the water. 2-4 feet of water. it wasnt worth breaking my rod even trying to land one. these were maybe "maybe" 20 pound cats
  12. WoW WoW good video:) you dont have to full screen it the quality is great. where were you fishing and how deep was the water? 5 star video. thanks for uploading it. That was some day Brian had. what was it like 8 missed fish. -YaHoo
  13. ive never gotten into jigs. never thrown one. do they all need deep water cuz where im from water is usually shallow. my dad throws jigs alot.but that was when he was stationed in virginia. he came back with a bag (alot) of jig stuff -YaHoo
  14. we get on the water at 6:30. fish til 2 then park the truck under some trees and sleep til 4 then fish til we cant see anymore. the heat is the devil
  15. yea we have alligator gar. i was in the famous rodman resevoir a couple weeks ago and i was throwing a crankbait like 2-5ft and a 4.5 foot gar chased it up. scared the crap out of me.
  16. yeah chris i know what you mean. mudfish, bowfin or whatever are fun to catch but i catch them so frequently. and they've been known to kill a crankbait and a 21$ swimbait on its first cast<(personal experience)
  17. first of all im new to BR. but i read it frequently. so anyways me and dad were on the computer looking and reading about this crescent lake. crescent lake is in central florida and it is number 7 on FWC floridas top lakes. It says everywhere that there is a large number of 8 pounders in this lake, which is like 15,000 acres i think? so we plan a 2 day trip, hotel and everything. we leave at 330 in the morning. i wake up when were at the ramp.blahblah we get on the water and we head out to our first spot. a point where the water it unusually 6 feet deep. no fish. to make a story short no fish we fished til about 430- 130 then slept til 4 and got back in the water to fish til 9. no fish:( a couple missed fish but nothing good. day 2 same thing. overall the whole trip we got like 4 mudfish. 1 was a 10+ lber crescent lake FL <<overrated?
