  1. Congrats, thats a good looking fish!
  2. Your in trouble now. The more you fish swimbaits the less you will want to fish other baits. Thanks for posting.
  3. Congrats FC what a cool fish! I wanna catch one of those.
  4. Thanks fellas. I have actualy been trying ti take different pics. Usualy I pose so you cant tell which lake I am at. But at this lake the ranger likes me posting so I dont hide the location. Some of the pics look cool and some dont look so good. Its fun
  5. My favorite lake Jennings has been good to me. Here is the little one. She was not quite 8 but her stomach was totaly empty. When I hooked he, she came to the surface, jumped and barfed up about a 1.5lb trout that would have made her a much better fish. Notice how in the close up pic her belly looks defllated. Here is the big one
  6. TW has a forrum where you can request products for them to carry. I am sure you could call and request them to. I would also check BTD and see what they have in stock.
  7. Yep what you caught is a big bag!
  8. Male boot tail
  9. Like RW said, leave them out to dry. If they are non heavy salted baits they should be fine. The moisture will evaporate and their color will retun. Plastisol absorbs water. after a few hours baits will turn a milky color. The longer they are in water, the more they absorb and the whiter they become. If they are exposed for too long they will start to break down. If they are heavy slat baits, this doesnt take long. Leaving them out of thier bagswill allow them to "dry" and return to normal if they are not too far gone.
  10. Thanks fellas, I have been on them the past couple trips. I will post more reports soon.
  11. My year is starting off good. I have caught a few good ones recently. Here are a couple
  12. Living in Cali has its price. Everthing is expencive and its anti fishing and hunting. But I do like the actual land of CA. I have never lived anywhere else so all that cold sounds miserable. But.... Thanks again for the compliments ;D Could be worse... you could be staring at a closed season, 3' of snow covering the ground with more coming, and mid 20's for highs.... :-[ Story of my life right now... Ice out is in June I guess.
  13. You guys are too kind. I hope to post some reports soon if I can get out and fish. I have been prety busy so I am getting antsy.
  14. Whether or not its a hit or a flop, it looks interesting enough to give it a try. Some baits you just know are going to be good or bad, but this one I dont know. I would guess its going to be good though. I think I will try one.
  15. Very nice! I like Rage tails
  16. Paul, that is a great picture! thanks for posting the report!
  17. I have never been to the long beach FH. I have gone to the Del Mar FH and I havent been impressed with it for a long time. It used to be great with lots of good deals and tons of stuff. Not so much anymore. As for selling there, no the booth's are very expencive and a vendor has to sell alot of product just to get even.
  18. The flat tail does not swim. Think of it as a very realistic jig
  19. Peter you will have to check out my new one. It swims sooooo much better.
  20. I am not as old as you old timers but I aint young either I remember when "plastics" ONLY meant a texas rigged plastic worm. Swimbaits were ONLY soft bodied salt water baits that were rigged on lead heads. Diawa was low end, and my worm hooks were blue. I thought I was something special with my pheonix BORON rod and how the heck did we ever fish with those pistal grip bait cast rods. They feel so akward now. I do wish I knew now what I didnt know then. We had monster bass in all our lakes and they would corner the trout and huge shiners and I would watch in amazement with my ultra light and a 3in rapala. Man it was right in fron of me! of course I was only about 8 but I sure did miss what would have been the best fishing ever for me.
  21. Well then Ok you got me! ha ha
  22. cwen I think it may be something your doing? Are you storring your frogs with worms or other soft plastics? sometimes just being in the same box can have a reaction? Are you putting scent on them? Maybe you can wash the skirt leggs in dish soap to make them not sticky anymore? Scine this has happened to you with several different brands I am guessing its not the frogs themselfs. However I sometimes wrong so it could just be the frogs ;D
  23. In this case I would bet it has a lot more to do about KVD then the actual brand of crank he was using. In certain circumstances the specific bait can be a major factor but when its KVD and a crankbait I think the major factor is KVD.
  24. Yeah ha ha after we hijacked the thread, sorry :-[ I do plan on trying Ikes little grub thing. I never knew they swam like that so now I want to try them. Other then that The other designs did not get me super excited. The biggest reason I ever fish Bearkley is the sweet stink they have. I think it would be a mistake to not use it. Oh and I am not that old, I am only 38 ;D
  25. The nuts is not too much handicap. The nuts is what the player has when they are supossed to win easily. Soo If I under estimate a weaker player and give them too much weight to where I cant win the game, He has "the nuts" if the game is competetive then nobody has the nuts. I have been playing pool for about 30 years and the term "the nuts" was being used before I was playing. It may very well have originated in poker, I dont know for sure. But I do know it means when somebody has the odds in so much favor that they should win easily. If you go a pool forrum you will see the nuts is a common term and has been for a very long time.
