i have tried different colors in really ultra clear lakes but i can only get bit on watermelon or green pumpkin..ive tried black and blue, white, silver everything. but some lakes yes i can catch fish from white to black and blue.

hey guys im going to be buying a new trolling motor the one i have on my boat now a 40lb thrust on a 17ft bass tracker just doesnt cut it. i cant even go anywhere in 10mph wind. so im going to buy a 55lb thrust. i was just wondering how the circuit breaker works and what its supposed to do? and is it easy to hook up? and what amp should i get thanks guys. and what circuit breaker do you guys suggest brand wise? thanks again.

ya i hate when that stuff happens....i had my maintenance required light flashing which means i need an oil change well i stay on top of those and i had just did it a couple weeks earlier so i was freaking out. well i call the dealer and they said that if i changed the oil myself i needed to reset it. so i look online and cant find how to reset it and my supervisor shows up. he says well this is how i do it in my honda and sure enought it worked. but ya i hate when them lights start showing up.

smallies by far it doesnt matter if you catch a 14inch largemouth and a 10 inch smallie the smallie will fight harder,,, or if you catch a 4lb smallie and a 4lb largemouth once again the smallie.

i love gortex stuff idk how expensive they are since the airforce pays for mine..but i do suggest them. thats all i wear in the rain.

at our old house we had a nice size pond and we would feed ours cat food or dog food and they would do exactly what you said just swarm the surface. but we used chicken livers to catch them. and there are some monsters in there.

when you guys fish jigs in the fall do you pitch them to cover? swim them? or fish them deep? i planned on swimming jigs around shoreline cover since the bass should be coming up shallow. just wondering if swimming them is a good idea becuase i dont want to waste time on the water doing somthing that wont work.

i belive certain lakes you can only catch fish on certain baits...theres a lake i fish and i love fishing spinnerbaits one of my main baits but this lake i cannot get a bite from a fish using a spinnerbait. so i have to go with finnesse plastics or topwater. but then i go to another lake all day spinnerbaits, crankbaits and flipping baits. and both lakes have tons of cover for all those techinques.

thanks guys ya im thinking jigs cranks and spinnerbaits are going to be my best bet but im going to try some other stuff to. those are my favorite lures anyway.

last time i fished for smallies in october we killed them on white terminator spinnerbaits thrown in 2ft of water near sea walls and docks... also when we came across a point with seawalls or docks we would get most of our fish.

haha true...its pretty chilly here in the mornings but it never gets to cold even in the winter by 12 its just long tshirt weather for the most part.

well that sounds good to me. i will be trying fall patterns. i think this is what i will have rigged on my rods... one baitcaster Medium rod i will have a swim jig for all the numerous bushes, second baitcaster and medium rod i will have a spinnerbait in white with silver blades for bushes also...third baitcaster and medium rod i will have a buzzbait for all the shallow boulders and brush, for my flipping rod i will have an *** *** tied on like i always do then i might switch to a jig. for spinning im going to have a soft jerkbait on one rod a tube on another rod and a dropshot on the other one. and i think thats about it for starters hows that sound? i like the spinners swim jigs and buzzbaits for fish that are chasing bait. and the soft jerkbait also.

well the lake here the water temp is between 68 and 74 degrees depending on what end of the lake you are at. is that considered fall temps. the water was in the upper 80s this summer. i never fished new mexico in the fall and my next trip is october 2nd - 5th. and i was wondering if that is fall water temps so i can start my fall patterns?

ya it is a casting rod...i didnt want to buy another rod while i was home so my buddy let me use that one.

the best thing you can do is put him down...were doing that with our 13yr old yellow lab. he can barely walk cant jump up onto the deck anymore and has alot of problems. so my parents are putting him down at the end of this month. it was the last time i got to see him when i went home for leave.

just wondering what your guys favorite bait or baits are for the fall bite and how you fish them? mine is a spinnerbait i like to fish in coves up in any brush or rock usually i can find the fish schooled up in the coves feeding on shad. also points work really well for me. i also like to use topwater whether its buzzbaits or pop Rs anytime i see fish busting on bait fish thats what i like to use. or if i come across a point early in the morning that works really well to. try both the spinnerbait and the pop R. so ya just would like to get some perspective on what other people use. and i might pick up a few things for this fall.

HAHA ya the whole first week i was with my sister( haha went fishing with her husband) and i was with my inlaws so the first week i didnt get to go fishing much. just one day that me and my buddy and dad caught 60 bluegill. but ya i had to go fishing as much as possible since i dont get to go much down here.
