  1. welcome aboard im from michigan stationed in new mexico..im also in civil engineering but for the airforce. theres some really good lakes in central michigan. wixom and sanford are a couple great smallie and largemouth lakes.
  2. where you from in michigan? and welcome.
  3. So here in alamogordo new mexico where i have only seen snow 1 time since i have been here in 3 yrs. got 5 inches of snow two days agao and 5 more inches today. but it melted inbetween lol. so we only have a total of 5 inches. so the base here knows that people in new mexico dont know how to drive in the snow so we get to go into work at 10 am. but the mts got 36 inches two days ago and more last night. thanks for looking. and ill be on the mt snowboarding in total happiness on saturday.
  4. i love mine its a jig and worm rod. love it. better than the carrot stix in my opinion. i know some people that the carrot stix have broken on hookset and boyd duckett dropped them as a sponsor that is one of the reason. but its all personal preference.
  5. that was hillarious. after i just got done reading about you getting robbed.
  6. Corona with lime.
  7. good stuff mike. your killing me with all these awesome fish haha. awesome stuff keep posting.
  8. its all good bro. ya man i have done some real bassn but i need to get outta this state to get back to it. im trying to get orders to texas. actually san antonio i guess its not to far from choke. lol you might be seein me soon. whens your next tourney?
  9. dude thats awesome. i texted you a few times askin you how you did. but ya im jealous lol. i might have to come visit ya.
  10. ya the killstreaks over 100 those are all people who are i believe its called "boosting". its impossible to get that many kills in a team deathmatch because your team is bound to get some kills and the score will rack up way before you get close to 100 killls in a row. but ya anyways CALL OF DUTY IS THE SICKEST GAME EVER.
  11. thanks man ya there definitely fun to catch.
  12. DUDE that sounds like a bad tournament to me. but at least you managed a small limit...but i did CRACK UP pretty hard a few times.
  13. Well me and my buddy steve took both our boats out to the lake this time. he went in his and me and my wife went in ours. well i ended getting a small pattern going on a DT6 bluegill crankbait against rock walls or points caught 3 smallies on it then i broke the crankbait and of course the only one of those i had. the only largemouth i caught was on a white spinnerbait in 1ft of water. My wife lost 1 fish that woulda been our limit but oh well.. Steve caught 2 fish but lost a few others. his was on a dropshot and a jig on points.
  14. always playin if im not fishin hit me up...WaRMAchINe2466
  15. I love using super glue on my jig trailers. reason why is when you push them up on the keeper they will stay up until you hook into about 3-4 fish. but if there glued you dont have that problem. ive caught 15 fish before without the trailer sliding down when using glue.
  16. Thank you and yes your right any fishin is good fishin.
  17. Well we had our tournament at elephant butte lake this weekend. Didnt go as planned but did manage to catch a couple fish and 8th place. Ended up catching two on a sweet beaver one was on a sprayed grass and the other on a white beaver with about 3 minutes before weigh in on the last cast. first fish was caught in a tree sticking outta the water second fish was on a rocky point. lost a couple fish also while deadsticking the beaver. But it was still fun to get out on the water for sure. first place had 14lbs and he was fishing crankbaits.
  18. ok thanks guys. it was a good time for sure.
  19. Mix of salmon and bass here. The last two of bass are me and my buddy steve pre fishing for our tourney on saturday. we caught only 3 keepers but lost a few that were 3lbs or bigger. he lost a 5lber. but well get em on saturday hopefully.
  20. hey guys im here on leave in michigan and the weather has been really cold already before i got here so i think the fall good bite is already over. we caught a few fish at a really clear lake in 14ft of water but nothing that great and we also caught a few at a local resevior on dropoffs on spinnerbaits. was wondering if you guys have anytips. were heading to another local resevior soon. the water clarity is clear to stained lots of docks and grass some good looking backwaters. the water temp is around 55 degrees. whats some techiniques you would suggest? thanks. we did ok on spinnerbaits reeled SLOW! thanks again.
  21. Well i finally got to take the boat out since i got back from my deployment on saturday. we headed to the lake tuesday afternoon so we could get up early to fish wednesday. so we get out on the lake wednesday morning and my boat is running very slowww for some reason and my buddy had put a new prop on while i was gone. so we kept fishing anyways cuz it was running fine just slow. water was 71 degrees and MUDDY. i never seen the lake this muddy. went to a favorite cove of ours threw topwater poprs, wakebaits, buzzbaits pretty much every topwater bait we could but nothing and there was shad all over gettting chased and blown up on. so we figured we would head over to some other coves and check them out. oh and the water was down like 15ft normal places where we would drive over with the boat is like 10ft outta the water never seen it like this not as much cover. hit up another cove i start throwing a ***. first cast next to a twig a massive two bumps but i missed the dang fish. my wife throws to the back of the cove with a chatter bait and catches to be the only fish of the day. went to the next cove over and missed two fish on a sweet beaver next to a rock wall, and also missed a fish swirl on a spinnerbait. all in all a good day. so we looked at the prop and come to find out my buddy forgot to put the bushing in. didnt even think about lookin at it before we went out. so now we have to find a bushing and hopefully be back in business.
  22. HAHA nice i once caught a big ol bowfin on a rapala skitter pop. thought i had the lake record bass on when it hit and started fighting.
