  1. hahaha y'all are good yup definitely an interstate. 15 years of boat ownership and they have been pretty darn good but looks like this one is shot. Oh well ill have them replace it.
  2. Ya I live way up north lol. My boat is in my heated garage though all winter. Im guessing its my cranking battery, sucks cuz its only a year old but I have the receipt and they should replace it. thanks! Thanks everyone I'm guessing its the battery. I have the receipt it should be replaced since its only a year old.
  3. So I checked my trim 2 weeks ago and batteries everything lights up green and is charged. Trim went up and down fine. I just hooked it up to go take in for annual service and went to trim it up and nothing. Plugged in my charger and everything lights up green. Then tried the trim motor and it went up slowly while plugged in enough for me to put the transom saver in and tow to shop. Whats your thoughts?
  4. As a military member I get to travel all over and personally the best I've been to is either the hookup tackle in Glendale AZ or Bass tackle master in Lake Havasu city AZ.
  5. Well we will revisit in 3rd week in April ?
  6. Never knew that but my question is then. Why at 21' does my screen go so dark that I cant seen anything. but at 20' and less its clear as day?
  7. 6" bull shad works awesome. And wake baits. The larger ones like spro rats, cl8 bait baby possums, water voles, slammers etc in that 7-9" range. I have to many to name lol. but most of those are heavier. the 7" slammer is light though under 2oz I believe. The G2 Shellcracker is a small bluegill wake bait that slays em too. Its a light bait. Sorry I know I named all wake baits but those work awesome all summer and fall.
  8. Thanks! if our 3' of ice ever melts I'll try that.
  9. ill def give it a try! Thanks.
  10. No I leave it at the same around 50-60 ft most the time.
  11. fishing since I was 3 and that started in Alaska being carried on my dads shoulders down creeks and rivers salmon and trout fishing. Bass fishing seriously started when I was 10 I would say. I caught a few bass night fishing while camping on an island with my dad. that same summer I caught a smallmouth bass on a live salamander in a river we were cat fishing. After that I was hooked on smallmouth and have been ever since. I take a month off every year and go home to target them and a few trips to MN rivers and lakes now that I live close to MN. But even then id say most of my fishing is largemouth due to where I live. So total time fishing 31 years. Total time "bass fishing" 24 yrs. Definitely a bass angler 99% of the time but ill target any big fish when the time comes.
  12. I have two HDS 10s on my boat. When I'm side scanning in 20' and less I can see every single rock, weeds etc. Anything over 20 ft and the screen turns super dark and I cannot see anything. Its so annoying when I fish offshore and as soon as I hit any kind of real depth having that issue. Ive tried messing with settings but got nowhere. Anyone have an idea what to do? Thanks!
  13. My. year was awesome! Been extremely blessed to be honest. I fished more this year than I have in the last 15. Only because for the last 15 I've been stationed out west or overseas. When I was out west there were hardly any lakes within 2-3 hrs. So I would fish the same lake every weekend basically. Not that that was a bad thing I LOVED fishing lake Havasu and the Yuma backwaters. But I like variety and normal weather as well haha. New Mexico fishing was horrible lol. Now that I'm stationed up north I've been able to fish every weekend and fish 4-6 lakes per weekend and throw a river in there as well. One county has 1400 lakes, another has 500+ and a 3rd has 600+all within 2 hrs of me. Plus I live right next to the Red River of the North one of the best channel cat fisheries in the country. I caught many bass over 5lbs and countless 18-24lb bags. Lots of numbers as well. Biggest smallmouth this season was 5.78. Biggest largemouth was 5.5lbs. Miss the 6-8lbrs out west but you cant beat the avg size up north. So many 3s and 4s its stupid lol.
  14. Thanks such a good time!
  15. haha ya winter sucks! This is the first time I'm stationed up north since leaving Michigan 15 yrs ago. But ill probably get out atleast one more time on the river in the yak before it ices to much and hopefully get a few.
  16. Did some river fishing for smallies. Senko, jig and ned rig did some damage mid November in Northern MN. Please don't come ice!
  17. I agree! She loves her plopper 75 lol. Thanks! Those cats came outta the Red River of the north. Trophy channel cat river. I am fortunate to live 10 min from it. Haha ya its pretty identifiable if you have ever been there for sure! Ill post a pic of the crappie or dm it to you. This one was 5.79. Caught on a spook while they were chasing bait all around us. Short and fat lol.
  18. Winterized the boat officially but still have some river fishing to do in the yak. This isnt even close to all the pics I have this season but it sure was a heck of a 1st season in ND/MN. New pb channel cats! I caught my new PB northern at 10.3lbs, my buddy Andrew caught his pb northern at 38" didn't get a weight. I caught my PB crappie at 15" 1lb 10oz. Idk how many largemouth over 4/5lbs and countless smallmouth over 4/5lbs. Daughter caught a lot of bass on her own this summer which was amazing to watch her do. The best baits this year for largemouth were in order a whopper plopper 130, Frog, jig, 10" worm and a punch rig. Smallmouth top baits in order were also whopper plopper 130 or 110 were a tie. Keitech or scheels swimbaits in a perch color or sexy shad, tube, ned rig, spook and jig. Hopefully next summer is amazing as this one. Fished all new lakes this year being that it was my first season up here and it was a successful one. Very blessed to have been able to get up here and fish as much as I have.
  19. Im also headed there for a few days towards end of September. Hopefully the fish cooperate!
  20. Another good day out here in MN! managed an 18lb bag. Finally got on a good frog bite even with the water way down. They were choking it. Also got into quite a few on a jig.
  21. Been doing well in bemidji area. Many bags from 17-19lbs. Whopper plopped 130 is hands down my best bait this year. Not how you would expect to catch them either. Took some of my experience from Arizona and it works up here too haha. Hopefully get out Monday this week.
  22. Been on a tear lately out here in Minnesota. Fish a new lake every time out and I cant believe how good the fishing is up here. My daughter is loving it as well and finally she was able to get her own cast to catch fish. She has been catching some good ones too. Feels good to be stationed back up north and being able to fish how I grew up. I guess this 90+ weather has got the fish fired up haha.
  23. I am loving this weather! But I also just got stationed up in ND and came from AZ. Where the last 6 years I fished all summer and it averages like 115 every day in the summer on the lake. Cooler full of water in the boat, food, and once in awhile dip my hat in the lake and all good. We only get like 2 months of open water fishing up here hahahahahah.
