  2. I can't say anything about the new Revos but I have 17 of the Gen 1 and Gen 2 Revos and they are still awesome. (I fish at least 150 days a year, which makes me better than you)
  3. First of all welcome to BassResource. I only use a few different trailers on jigs. The Rage Chunk in the winter and early spring or when using a living rubber only jig. The Rage Craw when using a living rubber jig with silicon skirt added, and a Zoom Speed Craw when I'm out or Rage Tail stuff.
  4. Welcome to the family.
  5. Yes it is. I have an old spool of line I got 10 years ago that I use as backing.
  6. Way to go!! Congrats.
  7. I'm held up in Atlanta until the storms pass. I'll be back on the road early tomorrow. I talked to Jon and everyone is fine but hanging out in the dark.
  8. A lot of rain prior to the trip is a good thing when you are talking about the Tennessee River. When they open the gates on the dams the fish start biting. Did I mention that I'm excited?
  9. One last 15 hour shift and I'm packing as fast as I can and hitting the road. Now I'm excited!!
  10. Pete, Send a PM to Long Mike he is taking care of all that. Thanks for doing this I love a good BarBQ
  11. Keep your head down and eyes open brother. Stay safe.
  12. Welcome Jim. It always great to see more Georgia boys join the forums. Please be sure to read the forum rules we are pretty strict about promotion without permission. Thanks
  13. Pack your confidence baits and a few that you want to work on and you shouldn't have a problem catching fish.
  14. I can show you but you won't catch me fishing with one.
  15. Are we there yet? I can't wait for this trip. I keep dreaming of giant smallmouth.
  16. Each needs to be connected individually to power.
  17. Those are outstanding. I love custom pot calls. You can't beat the sound of one.
  18. I've been gluing the rattles in my rat-l-traps for year. In the spring the bass don't seem to want loud baits. For the past two weeks I've been rotating between a quiet squarebill and a silent lipless and most days the bass prefer the lipless. I don't know why but they just do.
  19. There isn't a specific temperature. Fish start to move up when the water starts to warm up. They were shallow here when the water was in the high 40's. It's now in the high 50's and they are eating heavy.
  20. Swim Jigs Spinnerbaits Chatterbaits Big Swimbaits Poppers Tubes Beavers These are the ones I'm going to focus on this year. Except for the tube. I don't really care about fishing a tube.
  21. I'm going to toot that horn because I really like them but check out the Siebert Jigs. He makes some great rubber skirted jigs. I prefer the ones that are both rubber and silicone.
  22. This was the tread that helped me start fishing crankbaits. It's priceless. You can find this thread and many like it in the Best of Bass Resource Sticky in the General Bass Fishing Section. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/60793-best-of-bassresourcecom/
  23. I don't live too far from there so I'm in for sure.
  24. You listed most of my most used soft plastics so this is how I am most effective with them. In fact, if I was only allowed one soft plastic for a day of fishing it would be a green pumpkin trick worm. Trickworm- Carolina Rig, Shakyhead, Mojo Rig, weightless, Niko Rig, wacky rig, dropshot, Finesse - Dropshot, shakyhead, Mojo Rig Maginum Finesse - (It is a lot like the old french fry worm) Carolina rig and a dragging jighead, Also makes a great chatterbait trailer.
