  5. My ol' lady calls me her ol' man. We dont find it disrespectful at all. Its actually an extremely common term in many parts of the world. Particularly those that speak the Queens English or a variation there of. There's no I'll intent or disrespect meant. An example. Sometimes I call her my Filthy Little W****. She often calls me Oh God!. There is no offense meant by either of those names. I guess its all in the context. Its not like I'm calling her a Manky Ol' Slag. Or a Old Bean Bag. Another example. Since you are over thinking a humorous thread. I may refer to you as an Old Fart or an Old Fuddy Duddy. As in. Lighten up ya Ol Fuddy Duddy. I mean no disrespect by either of those terms. You are simply older than me and you may fart. Or you may be a Fuddy Duddy. Don't believe me? Just ask Sir Snook. Thank you for viewing Raider Nay Shays educational post of the day. Addendum: We have been married for almost 9 blissful years. Been together for 11 years. Known each other for 24 years. Which is saying something cause I ain't but 30.

  7. reason... I think if you need to label your cranks, you have too many and aren't familiar with them, not a recipe for success, but to each his own. ?? you lost me on your post?? "not a recipe for success"... huh?? since it doesn't negatively affect the crankbait in any way, i think if you are fairly new to fishing, and it helps you learn your baits better....it gives you a quick "reminder" to help you. what is the harm? to me, that could be a "key ingredient" in your recipe for success...quicly being able to identify and know the depth at which a certain crank runs...

  12. I guess the reality is that I'm so close to the water in the Old Town, It's usually more work to swing one than it is to simply reach down and either lip, net or even Boga Grip the silly little bass-tage. A-Jay

  13. Anything decent in size gets the net. Hardly ever flip them in.

  14. that is an excellent idea A-Jay! not as "sexy" as boat flipping.....but since the name of the game is "in the boat" not "near the boat", you have hit the nail on the head.

  15. as for the question, i would definitely lip that fish !!!!

  20. For me a successful fishing trip means that the boat ran well, nothing broke, I didn't have a blow out on the trailer, I didn't get pulled over and I didn't fall in the lake (all those things have happened at one time or another). The catching is secondary to all that.

  21. Zman's Elaztech floats well, Used their finesse worms and work well on the dropshot. And now Strike King's super fiesse worm that is made from the same stuff, Elaztech also floats. Just don't store any of those baits with regular worms, they melt and make a mess.

  25. I'll warn ya that yes elaztech baits float but they're extremely hard to get onto a screw lock on a shakey.

  29. Well, I understand your point, but I think you missed mine. I don't believe in multiple coincidence. The fact that three guys all catch DDs on one weekend trip together on Pickwick Reservior has a statistical probability approaching zero. This combined with other reports of DDs on The Rig suggest a completely different scenario.

  37. I thread them on like your first photo 99.% the time. It seems like every time I try to just hook the tip the trailer ends up in a ball around the hook.

  38. Awesome or not, When I get home from a day on water I'm usually so wiped out I just wipe down the rods, back off the reel drags, toss out the old plastic and just sit quietly for a while. But I may have a bigger smile on face. Mike

  39. Look at Power Team Lures. They float and get very good reviews. Todd

  40. Reins bubbling shaker and Keitech live impact are the most productive, tantalizing floating worms I have used.

  41. Don't expect the Zinkers to float because they sink like a rock due to the high salt content in them. Also, I would save you money on the Jackall Clone Gills, not worth it, been there done that. Great idea, but not a very good product IMO. If you're gonna spend that on dropshot baits, stick with the Keitechs. The Live Impact and the Swing Impacts are awesome dropshotting....use the 3.5 Swing's and a #2 hook on both. The slightest twitch brings these baits to life. And remember DO NOT STORE ANY ZMAN ELAZTAC BAITS WITH ANY OTHER SOFT PLASTIC BAITS.

  46. If any of you guys have one of these and would be willing to give me a few dimensions, I would gladly post drawings on how to make this or have someone make this for you. Two options to make this would be either be steel with black powder paint or stainless steel brushed finish. I am a sheetmetal designer, so posting fab drawings is no bigee. *********Mods would you have a problem with me posting fabrication drawing for someone to make these themselves? If so I won't post drawings on here.******
