  2. I eat plenty of LMB- they are easy to filet, no blood line like wipers/stripers. No need to clean hundreds like bluegill or crappie etc. Meat is really light tasting so my wife and daughter like them too. Anyhow, I soak overnight in water, and use simple premade batter to fry...but dip in homemade dill sauce. We also make them into tacos which I prefer highly! The best so far though is to dice potatoes, very thin, lay filets over potatoes, spice, and lay a few pieces of bacon over top of it all. Bake until all are done. If done in the correct proportions then they all come out at the same time perfect.

  8. A man boarded an airplane and took his seat. As he settled in, he glanced up and saw the most beautiful woman boarding the plane. He soon realized she was heading straight towards his seat . As fate would have it, she took the seat right beside his. Eager to strike up a conversation he blurted out, "Business trip or pleasure?" She turned, smiled and said, "Business. I'm going to the Annual Nymphomaniacs of America Convention in Boston " He swallowed hard. Here was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen sitting next to him, and she was going to a meeting of nymphomaniacs. Struggling to maintain his composure, he calmly asked, "What's your business role at this convention?" "Lecturer," she responded. "I use information that I have learned from my personal experiences to debunk some of the popular myths about sexuality." "Really?" he said, "And what kind of myths are there?" "Well," she explained, "one popular myth is that African-American men are the most well-endowed of all men, when in fact it is the Native American Indian who is most likely to possess that trait. Another popular myth is that Frenchmen are the best lovers, when actually it is men of Jewish descent who are the best. I have also discovered that the lover with absolutely the best stamina is the Southern Redneck." Suddenly the woman became a little uncomfortable and blushed. "I'm sorry," she said, "I shouldn't really be discussing all of this with you. I don't even know your name." "Tonto," the man said, "Tonto Goldstein, but my friends call me Bubba."

  9. on Interstate 74 the other day, I thank you! Because of road construction ahead, traffic was backed up and moving at a snails pace. All the responsible and courteous drivers had moved into the left lane where traffic was forced to eventually merge. Suddenly, a car roars past in the right lane. Not long after that, you, the Tundra driver, having witnessed enough of this, move out of the left lane and into the right lane. You then proceeded forward at the same pace as the car next to you. Along comes mister mini van driver with Alaskan plates who, like the previous car, thinks he's too special to wait like the rest of us poor schmucks. However, because your Tundra is has effectively blocked his progress, mr. mini is forced to drive at the same pace. Now it may actually be illegal what you did (I never checked the lawbooks) but I doubt any of us other drivers who witnessed this were complaining. Personally, I would've bought you dinner and slapped you on the back!

  15. Obviously, not. The issue was an unencrypted FTP feed to the main office that was intercepted. Thousands of customer accounts were leaked, and had to be changed. I work in the IT industry.... you'd be surprised what is and isn't secure. I have no worries about Facebook. Your paranoia in unfounded. Everyday, financial institutions are compromised, government records leaked. I have yet to hear of one time that someone's FB account was "hacked" without some user error or intervention. Apps that steal your info don't install themselves. I've never heard of someone's kid getting stolen or molested because they shared a picture on FB. The notion is highly, highly, highly unlikely, so long as you do not post things like, "My SS# is .... and my kids will be alone in an unlocked house at such and such address.." I know that sounds silly, but I sometimes wonder if that's what people believe. It's just social media. At any rate, if you think your world will be destroyed by using FB, then don't. It's just a little contest to bring new members into the fold. Can't argue with the benefits of that.

  16. This nails it imo. I started on a Zebco 33 25+ years back, to me the baitcaster feels right. It took me awhile to adjust to spinning. To this day though, if I have a bait that could be thrown on either, I'll opt for the baitcaster because thats what I'm more comfortable with.

  20. I'm a " cop." I do not "protect and serve." I do provide services and assure that I and those officers I supervise, do not work outside of the US Constitution, Washington State Constitution and or Washington State Law. I have worn a badge and carried " a gun " for 22 years and never felt I had any power for doing so. Frankly any cop who isn't wearing their badge and carrying their side arm is stupid. I have no power, only that authority granted to me, with condition, by the State and within the state. My City's Agency has entered into Mutual Aid Agreements by letter with agencies in other jurisdictions within my state. In Washington, you are required to possess a fishing license at age 16 and various additional permits to fish for assorted species. Your Boat must be licensed. When you license a boat and or fish on PUBLIC waters you stipulate to showing a law enforcement officer you are in compliance. I am saddened by the commentary of some and one. Your rights to search and seizure are subject to exemption every day. Each State chooses to broaden or narrow the scope of those rights as legislators and judges provide laws and case law in the interest of their citizens. If you want to challenge " a cop ", go right ahead. Please be sure you are knowledgeable before you do so. The definition of wisdom is the ability to apply knowledge. Be wise, always buy a fishing license and show it upon request.

  24. I go to the store. It's not because I see something wrong with eating keeper size bass, I'm just lazy. I fully understand the benefits of people keeping bass and if they are of legal size, at or under the legal number kept and caught using legal means (including having a license) then by all means eat 'em up!

  25. 9 times out of 10 I'm a C&R guy. Sometimes I will keep smaller bass. If I am fishing with my mother (she's full Asian) I am pressured to keep some as she is all about cooking everything that we pull out of the water. That said, I'm not huge on the flavor of LMB. Perhaps it's just because I haven't found the right recipe yet, but I really only like it when I dip it in sriracha. And that's probably just because I really like sriracha.

  27. I guess you guy's are right. I need to slow down on the wanting to buy right now and look for something that wont cause me headaches and problems down the road. I will save and just get a big enough boat that I wont have to worry about size rather than buying new and in a year wanting to upgrade and not happy with my purchase. Also saving and slowing down will help me be able to stock the boat with all the tool's and essentials to get on the water. Thank's guy's!

  28. Yea man I pray I run into that dorky wanna be cop. It's going to be hard taking him serious especially if he tries to take my picture lol. If e gave you the benefit of the doubt then he will prob just call the real police on me ha. I was fishing the other day and someone called the cops since it was private property. The cop approached me and was really cool about it, he even told me about spots that were close that he has seen people fish. It seems like rent a cops take their job WAYYY more seriously than the real ones, who have more important things to deal with than to harass people who are fishing not bothering anyone

  29. How stacked are you at SP position? Is there any 3B left on waviers, the guy on chicago cubs or Houstons Matt Dominguez are serviceable if you have a good Ofensvie base to begin with? Gee is hard to gage, his k/bb rate isn't bad, he is allowing a .287 ba which is not good. He has had only 2 bad starts of late. But I think he is on the up swing.....Now I had materson early on in my roto league, I dropped him for arroyo right after he had his first string of three or four bad starts. I would be worried about him wearing down Look at mastersons splits in 2011 and 2012 he has his worst stats in July, Aug and Sept. And so far he has held true this July. If you want to play the odds I would say do it, and Gee might have a better second half than Materson will or at least similar stat wise.

  30. Carolina, a Tracker is a "Spartan" boat and you will learn a lot about the hull, electrical system, trolling motor, charging the batteries, live wells, sonar system, the trailer and most of all, the motor. The hull will probably never give you a problem. The major cost of the boat and the most important part of the package is the motor. When purchasing a new or used boat please consider the following: 1. Motor - Have a compression check to make sure it is in good condition. 2. Tournaments - If you fish tournaments you may want to get the highest horsepower the boat is rated to safely handle. If you do fun fishing you can scale down on motor power. 3. Motor Manufacturer - Some guys love Mercury while others are Evinrude or Yamaha. I know some guys who refused to look at any used Rangers if they had Evinrudes on them. 4. Rod Storage Length - Trackers cannot handle rods over six feet eight inches easily. The outside compartment is three feet long and the rod locker space under the boat is about four feet. So if you want to store your rods in the rod compartment forget the Tracker. 5. Updates - You will be making a lot of improvements to the boat. Replacing the glass fuses with circuit breakers; adding a third battery to upgrade trolling motor to 24-volts and more power; purchasing a boat and motor cover; adding your electronics; considering if you don't care if the trolling motor foot pedal is on the deck; upgrading your live well pump to at least 500 gallons a minute; and the size and cost of your batteries. 6. The Trailer - does your trailer have a spare tire with it or will you have to add one? Any pedestal in the front so you can stand or kneel on it to hook the winch strap to the eye when trailering the boat? Getting the wheels serviced each year. Replacing the bunks (not difficult but you will have to dock your boat at a marina and complete the job in the marina's parking lot). And does your truck or SUV 's light connector the same as what is on the boat? Check it out. 7. Waters You Fish - Trackers pull a shallow draft so you can go places the heavier boats cannot go. Low tides or getting into and out of small creeks is not a major problem with a Tracker. 8. Truck and SUV - What is the maximum amount of weight your vehicle can tow? Important as you don't want to blow the motor. 9. Weather - You will be blown all over the water in wind; moved along in current; burn yourself when you touch the aluminum in very hot weather; so you will need an anchor or a way to slow down the boat. If winds are 10 miles per hour or greater you can not take the Tracker into heavy waters safely. So you will be locked into a creek or where the water is not rough with one-foot waves or greater. So if you are fishing a lake and plan to run five miles with rain and wind approaching - don't do it. Stay close to your ramp to avoid the rough water. 10. Gas Prices - A Mercury can run on 87 octane gasoline. Larger motors need 89 octane and special oil. Check out the motor requirements as bass boat motor oil is extremely expensive, especially if you have to use the manufacturer's oil to keep the warranty valid. Also understand that some outboards suck up gas while others are frugal. Do your research or be like the guy in my bass club that just purchased a used Pro Craft with a 115 (forget the brand) and used 23 gallons of gas in a tournament running about 20 total miles. I think his motor needs a tune-up! 11. Trial Run and Compression Check - If possible take the boat out for a trial run. Smell for leaking gas; how does she handle (steering OK?); pull the plug when you get back to the ramp to see if any water comes out; check all gauges and make sure the bilge and live well work plus your running lights (plug them in on the front and back to make sure the light up); how is the trolling motor?; what is the overall upkeep?; and take the boat and motor to a service facility for a compression check and their opinion of the watercraft. After you qualify to operate your bass boat as per Carolina safe boating laws; outfit her with everything state law mandates; consider some upgrades (trolling motor to 24-volt 60+ power system); add your electronics; and cover her when trailered you are ready to roll and have many inexpensive fun days on the water. Good luck and be sure to converse with us on your final purchase.

  33. Not all monos are created equal. A thicker diameter 10lb line COULD be a headache on a reel that size, maybe not. You could always leave your thinner mono on as a base and add about a cast and a half of 10lb on top to see how it behaves itself. Also as an FYI, Ive found not overfilling a spinning reel with mono/flouro helps with line mgt.

  38. hmm, never had these issues with spinning reels.. i think baitcasters, even the round one i use is just so much more comfortable to use.. but these seemingly random backlashes are a pain in the ass.. i think im going to place an order with abu garcia to order a second spool.. have it spooled up, filled, tape over the line, and toss it in my tackle box so when i backlash that way i can just pop the old spool out, put the new one in, and deal with the backlash later

  42. You answered your own question right there, IMO. The flat stomachs on the fish you are catching all but confirm that there is not enough forage for the number of bass present in the lake. Perfect example of 100% Catch and release's downfall and why "selective harvest" is the best way to preserve a fishery and allow it to flourish.

  43. If you mean how deep was the bait when I caught the fish? Probably about 25ft or so fishing a shakey head on a Kentucky Lake point. If you mean the deepest the water was, then around 36 FOW on topwater.

During those times the law enforcement officers were extremely pissy. Also, I watch a good amount of youtube videos..take those as great examples.

  46. I have a few I use when I'm flipping grass because the smaller profile helps it get through the weeds better. It may have a couple other very slight advantages like slightly faster fall because of the smaller profile and such but not any big enough advantages for me to fish with them just for fun.

  47. Lake Linganore. One week later than the best Bass fishing day of my life....today I smashed my PB!!! But I will start with this and apologize for so many pics. Only caught three fish in two hours but all three were quality. Fish #1 was just under 20" beating last weeks PB. Fish #2 was 19" but may have been heavier than fish #1. And lastly my new PB. I don't know the exact size because it was much larger than my tackle box. It was almost the same length as both my shoes end to end, maybe a half inch shorter. I measured my shoe when I got home and it was 11 3/4". That makes this fish anywhere from over 22" and under 24". My entire fist fit in his mouth! Truly awesome!!!

  48. Went out to one of my after work spots this morning. Been seeing some big explosions the last couple times but figured they were just carp. First cast with the biggest size skitter walk saw some big white flashes under the bait and a couple boils 2 casts later it looked like someone dropped a brick in the water. No doubt what it was and a long fight with some drag burning runs confirmed what I thought. No scale or tape but guessing in the 6-7 pound range.
