  2. oh yeah iv had that problem after seeing bassresources video last year on how to rig and throw the double fluke rig. i'll try other lures but if they don't get bit in like a couple casts im grabbing that double fluke and throwing that again.

  4. Yes, also with the elaztech worms I have an incredibly hard time getting them on the cork screw bait keeper. Keep a lighter handy to heat up the cork screw and they melt right on easily.

  5. I was fishing a little neighborhood pond yesterday with a buddy and caught my biggest bass yet. I was using a wacky rigged Junebug Senko that I've always had luck with at this pond. It was an awesome fight, but an unexpected catch because we've never caught big fish out of this place.

  6. My Curado 50E casts as far or further than any reel I own. The solution may be as simple as loosening the cast control.

  8. It's nice to have a deli sandwich every now and again and I too like Cuban sandwiches. BUT nothing, and I mean nothing, beats a well made pb&j sandwich.

  9. On smaller lakes and early in the year I have some of my best luck fishing dams if they're rocky.

  10. Over rated, hyped, etc, call it whatever you want, there is no such thing as a magic lure, pretty much applies to rigs & terminal tackle, if they are worth it or not is a matter of opinion, think of them as "another tool in your box", there will be days and times when they will work and there will be days and times they won´t.

  12. Swim jig, goes throught the weeds perfectly, hooking percentage is higher than any of the baits mentioned, you can do an infinite number of retrieves to get strikes, you can also vary trailers for a variety of different looks, by far the most versatile of all the baits mentioned. And you won't wanna sceam, cry, throw fits and generally act like a 3 yr old if you lose it like you would if you lost the swim bait...lol that is how I would act anyway.

  13. I would miss it, simply because I can step into my backyard and catch bass ( maybe more peacocks would move in ). If they were to disappear tomorrow it would merely be an inconvenience, I'm 15 minutes from the ocean.

  14. You need to study up on the definition of "review" a little more. He went through a litany of reasons why he *thinks* the Lews is built/designed poorly compared to his Shimano. "Really? Do you need all those bearings?". Yeah quality stuff there. I can only imagine if it were in reverse and he was complaining about how the Shimano design doesn't make sense to him the Posse would go into apoplectic fits. The reel wars are a never ending source of amusement on here. So much self-worth tied up in purchase decisions; great stuff.

  15. X2, I agree I love casting reels but for anything under a 1/4 oz I'll assure you my Stradic will cast farther and more accurate than my baitcasters, besides, anything lighter than 6# diameter mono has done nothing but make my baitcaters a chore to use. I like 20Lbs. Tracer Braid on my Lew's ss reals, it is only 6lbs test mono diameter and works great, tried 15# with braid and took it off, digs in, the 15# has a diameter of 4# mono, and did not work for me, but I have great luck with the 20# Fireline Braids, I then have 6# mono diameter and run a 4#-12# Flouocarbon leader to the end, 6’-8’ long for invisibility at the lure.
