  2. In 1960, the ratio of the average Fortune 500 CEO's pay to the US president's salary was 2 to 1. Today, the ratio is around 30 to 1. All polar bears are left handed. The number of annual visitors to Las Vegas is approximately 40 million. In your lifetime, you'll shed over 40 pounds of skin. Turtles can breathe through their butts. The average person falls asleep in seven minutes. Carnivors will not eat another animal that was struck by lightning. Our eyes are always the same size from birth, but our nose and ears never stop growing.

  4. Awwww. Be a man. Police tasers are 50,000v. Nothing like a little tickle to remind you to be careful. I get reminded all the time. That idiot who didn't put the transformer back into the enclosure should be fired. glad you're ok

  7. Either one of those bags should work fine. When I was doing the co-angler thing, I found top loading bags were easier for me than front loading bags. I also found that 2 medium/small bags worked better for me than one large bag. I was always experimenting though, and I don't think I went two tournaments in a row with the exact same tackle transport system. For me, the most important piece of tackle transport equipment was a rod bag.

  8. Scorch was the name of a video game character (Starwars republic commando) And when I tried to sign up for Xbox live that was taken, so I added the "er", taken as well. So I added my birthday 2/14 and bam. Use it for just about everything.

  10. Try what spots? You mean the spots SirSnook and I mentioned? I fish two tournaments a month, sometimes 3, on the Osborne chain, not to mention practice days. I wouldn't have suggested those spots if they weren't any good.

  12. Very good advice. In fact in some cases where larger fish are involved, fishermen will put a good sized polyform ball at the end of their anchor line. When a good fish hooks up, and they need to chase it, they just release the anchor line, fight, and hopefully land the fish, then return to their buoy, tie up to the anchor, and set the fishing lines out again. You never know when you may have to release a hung anchor in rough weather, or some other circumstance. With the buoy, you'll be able to come back to it another time and free it up.

  14. Yes you can, only 3 out of the 5 may contain hooks though.

  15. "They" say set your drag to 1/4-1/3 the stated break strength of your line, so if you're bass fishing with 20 lb line, you'd never need more than 7 lbs of drag. Of course, stated break strength of line is always lower than the tested break strength and very few guys use a tension scale to set the drags on their reels. You can tighten down the drag on a reel until it is locked and absolutely will not move, so I think the advertised drag strength is a pretty iffy spec to start with. Bottom line, I wouldn't worry about relative advertised drag ratings - the only thing that counts is whether you think the drag on that particular reel is strong enough and smooth enough to handle the line/rod/lure combo that you're gonna be throwing.

  18. The step up to the STX is even better. The added centrifugal braking is much easier to deal with.

  19. According to the manager of the Pecker's by my house, each Pecker's can have the $.97 sale. I will go by today and check it out. Last time I took all of the Strike King jig heads of the size I wanted that were in the store. Thanks for the heads up. Sincerely appreciate it.

  21. I dont have much experience in the matter except once at my cousins pond. He had explicit rules for his renters not to keep any bass, fearing they would destroy the population. Well he went out there one day to find one fishing with a stringer full of them. Worst thing is a turtle had started to eat what been about a 4lber. ticked him off enough to tell them they were no longer aloud to fish the pond.

  22. Good, glad bass banned it. This rig just doesn't feel very sportsmanlike to me. If you want to use it in your personal fishing fine, but it does not have a place in tournament fishing in my opinion.

  23. It breaks my focus and concentration. So for me yes it does. As for others I don't know. Plus part of the reason I fish is to get away from everything except for me nature and the occasional other fisherman that wanders by.

  24. I'm glad of the decision. I believe it is a good call. Playing field is still level.

  25. Sorry, but I for one am glad to see a ban. One bait at a time is fishing for sport. Multiple baits is like netting for food or profit. First time I heard of the 'Alabama Rig', all I could think was REDNECK FISHING! Hey ya'll, watch this....... Gives the sport, and my State, a bad name. Wish whoever had named it Georgia or some other.

  26. I'm for the ban. I think the one rod, one lure is the way professionals should fish. I think the fisherman should have to hit the right angle and bump a piece of cover with every cast, not get 5 fish on one cast. As far as saying it's too easy to catch fish on...that's a ridiculous statement and ridiculous reason for a ban. Is throwing a rattle trap brain surgery?? Tossing a fluke into a school of busting fish isn't rocket science!!
