  1. Ok guys let me give you guys a introduction to Fishing Rhino. He's a mans man. He's the Dos Equis's guy but from New England. He's the guy you want to talk to if your struggling out on the lake. The last two years at the roadtrip he's gladly shared all his spots with others, and told them everything they wanted or NEEDED to know. At Pickwick he showed up not only with his bass boat but with a large canoe strapped to his roof of his truck because he didn't want anybody to not have a boat to fish in. Everybody had a ride but this man drove thousands of miles with this thing because he cared that much about his fellow bass resource members. The good lord has shown his gratitude by giving Rhino a 6lb smallie at the Pickwick roadtrip in 2010 and this one at Ky/Barkley Roadtrip of 2011. So plan to make it to Roadtrip 2012 if you want to meet great men and women like him.

  3. Simp as usual, exaggerates greatly. Thanks to his dad for making this video on his cell phone, and to Simp. As for the Dos Equis guy, Simp and his dad put him to shame. As far as interesting goes, they've got him beat hands down. I mean, how can two guys who showed up at Pickwick with their glorified jon boat, sporting headlights not be interesting. Last year they disappointed me by showing up with a doggone fiberglass, full fledged bass boat. The hicks from the sticks meet civilization. Oh, and by the way, Simp's dad outfished me on the day he captured this video. If we hadn't caught a fish, it would still have been a great day. Had a blast meeting many of the members. Steezy, Roadwarrior, Glenn and Mrs. Glenn, Big O, Scrutch, Uncle Leo, Long Mike, Alpster, Ghoti, Mike the jig guy, Bassin Sargent and Bassin Soldier (anyone know where they are now?) Lund Explorer, Ken, and all the others. Looking forward to seeing all of you again, and meeting others for the first time. Don't miss it. You'll have memories to last you for the rest of your life. Maybe you're just starting out fishing, and think you won't fit in. You couldn't be more wrong. I don't think there was an ego in the bunch. Just because RW and Big O always look like they're ready for a photo shoot for GQ doesn't mean they are not as down to earth as everyone else. Hey, after all, someone has to add a bit of class to our motley crew, and it sure ain't gonna be me.

  4. i have two of the high-speed TPSSs (not the TSS) and also a curado 50E. the 50E is a great caster with plastics and, after i put in a set of boca bearings, became absolutely incredible. my problem with the 50E is the smallish knobs on the handle and i would've preferred a faster gear ratio...the difference in observed retrieve rate is quite noticeable. as for the lew's, i like mine plenty...i wasn't sure i'd like the paddle knobs at first but they feel quite nice on the water. i think you'd like them both.

  6. I don't think you are going to find a rod that throws that large a range of baits real well.
