  1. Please understand that there aren't any magic colors or rigs. You start with seasonal patterns. The old In-fisherman formula - Fish + Location + Presentation = Success is a good plase to start. There is a time and a place for every rig under the sun. Notice that presentation is the third line in the formula. First, do your research, get an understanding of how & where fish live. Then stat to use the grey matter between your ears to figure out a presentation. The background information is required to give your questions context.

  2. Agreed on the community college front. I have plenty of friends that did that and they did better than most of my pals that went straight to a 4 year school. The one thing I can tell you about college is that it really doesnt matter where you go. Will going to an Ivy league school get you a better job? Perhaps. But, it won't guarantee anything. This is one of those places in life that based on where ever you decided to go, doors will open for you. I can guarantee you that. What YOU decide to do with that open door will prove to have an impact on what/where your destiny will be. Trust me on this. I've spent many a night wondering what would have been different with my life had I decided to go to a school back east, or go to Cal Poly for architecture, rather than move forward with UCLA. Where would I be today? Make a decision and stick with it. That's the best advice I can give you. It's what I did, and things didn't turn out so bad for me. Enjoy the ride.

  3. there is no shame in community college. i mean, whats your major? business administration? liberal arts? pfft, that literally taking 100k and flushing it down the toilet with how hard it will be to get a job when you graduate. like i said. there is no shame in community college and NOT being in debt for life. my advice? get into the technology field. with out QUESTION. Best decision of my life. I literally dont want to sound pretentious or anything but I am 22 and make great money, and i went to community college. Got a brand new 2011 car, moving into my own place soon, and best of all? I am in NO debt. Which means I am able to go to a university in Boston or where ever and continue my education while i work, maybe get my bachelors degree and just pay off the classes, its great. Thats my advice, get into the tech field, skip those sissy fluff majors that will get you NOWHERE. Focus on something specific that you know you will make good money in and drive that mother ***** home, crush it, own it. then make bank when you graduate.

  4. I think that similar to guys that kill alligator gar because they "eat all the bass" despite several studies that have been done that show bass make up less than 1% of the gars diet. I'm sure muskie do eat some of the bass but not like they eat shad, suckers, carp, walleye, and perch. You get a group of ignorant people together like that and they can be dangerous when they decide to be self made fisheries biologist.

  5. What an absolutely weak analogy. How about I fix it for you. - There's a race going on with 100 other racers - There's $100,000 at stake to win the race - The rules state no speeding of any kind is allowed. - 1 individual goes 5mph over the limit but does it in a place where only you can see he did it. To tolerate wrongdoing is simply giving approval to that behavior, plain and simple. How you can think your "tongue-lashing" would be sufficient, in essence now makes you the rule governing body since you think you can just change the rules as you see fit. Not reporting an infraction when your direct responsibility is to report infractions, makes you just as guilty. You should then be dq'd as well. How this is even remotely gray is beyond me. Unbelievable.
