It's amazing how all of you are dumping on a product without even trying it, actually seeing or reading a review about it. You see a picture on TW and right away you crap on it!!! I too am dissapointed with the way they changed their lineup but i will wait to get them in my hands before giving my .02 cents. As for the rods I love the split grip foam rods so i am happy with the way they look but think that they should have kept some cork grips for those who liked them.

I'm interested to hear more about these. They have Big O written all over them.

The Curado G is based on the Caenan platform. If you combine it with being specced like the Citica E; it feels like a downgrade to many, despite how it may be worded. The Curado e has been rebadged and repainted as the Chronarch e, which also feels like a downgrade when you consider the Chronarch D's position in Shimano's previous lineup. So, it seems understandable to me that people are unhappy with the apparent downgrades, at least until they get used to the notion that in order to get the same quality that they are used to, they are now buying the Chronarch E instead of the Curado E. When this happenes, then everyone will be happy again with their Shimanos. I am sure there is also some disappointment that there were no big advancements announced at this year's iCast. Then there is also an apparent hole in the lineup between the Chronarch E and the Core...

Big enough for a scale, not big enough to brag about.

It doesn't matter how bad the specs are, the posse will buy them by the truckload and recommend them to everybody who asks "What's the best reel for $____" regardless of whether or not they've actually used them.

I first piece of advice I always give beginners is to learn as much info about bass fishing as you can, and then take that into consideration when buying tackle, instead of going to your local store and buying everything on the shelf.

I have to ask, and If you can't answer thats fine but I like to know what successful people do for a living? That truck is downright nasty!
