The Curado G is based on the Caenan platform. If you combine it with being specced like the Citica E; it feels like a downgrade to many, despite how it may be worded. The Curado e has been rebadged and repainted as the Chronarch e, which also feels like a downgrade when you consider the Chronarch D's position in Shimano's previous lineup. So, it seems understandable to me that people are unhappy with the apparent downgrades, at least until they get used to the notion that in order to get the same quality that they are used to, they are now buying the Chronarch E instead of the Curado E. When this happenes, then everyone will be happy again with their Shimanos. I am sure there is also some disappointment that there were no big advancements announced at this year's iCast.
Then there is also an apparent hole in the lineup between the Chronarch E and the Core...
