About time ICU! LOL, I bet you I can pm you the location of where that pic was taken. My buddy and I use to fish there a lot. Good size bass in there. Our best day there we had close to a four pound average. In the spring of the year right where you took that picture we use to catch some real hogs right from the bank. We would jump out on those rocks way down to the right and cast out into the middle. Congrats and go catch some more.

Your going to get a lot of blow-ups on a frog, sometimes more than hook-ups. Using a buzz frog (like the horny toad) may improve your ratio because they have to commit to it a little more. If you are getting a lot of blow-ups w/o hook-ups, try throwing a backup lure like a Senko or a Ring Fry. This may get them to react and then you will have a better idea of what they are actually doing.

They aren't targeting only marginal characters they are saying everyone wanting welfare assistance will have to take a drug test. If you have money to buy illegal drugs or prescription drugs that aren't prescribed to you then you shouldn't be receiving help anyway. Use your drug money to pay the bills and if you still need assistance after you are clean than by all means go get it. I also see people getting clean for a month or two just to start using again after they are approved for assistance.

it could be a territorial slap. Try using a weightless horny toad (white works best for me) rigged with a 4/0 EWG. I'll bet you hook more fish with it.

Odd, I dropped my Fathom's from a height of 16' directly on the concrete, and they don't have a mark. That said...it's a glass lens. I would fully expect that my lens would have shattered and I would have been the one to pay for fixing them. IMO, you really don't have a leg to stand on in terms of warranty. If someone told you, and you believed, that any glass lens is "impact resistant" there's a lot to be said. Glass impact resistance does not mean that they are ANSI rated. It means that they won't shatter in your eye if an object with great enough surface area hits the lens squarely, not on edge, and not with any sort of piercing point. By the way, a grain of sand on concrete is a piercing object. Seriously, I'm not meaning to come off as rude or argumentative, but I think your anger is misdirected.

I'd definitely recommend a guide. Winni is a BIG lake! And you need someone to show you the ropes up there. I've been fishing for 50 years and if I was going to Winni, I'd rent a guide! Will make your overall experience much more productive and pleasant.

Great fish Red! The keel-weighted craw is a great rig, you can't beat the presentation in shallow water or when the fish want a slow fall. Keep after them.

The hooks are 4/0 but they are huge!!! It is an Owner Beast. It has the little cork screw deal on the end. Super wide gap but it fits nicely in a Rage Craw. I actually caught a few smaller ones too and they didn't seem to have any problems getting that big hook in their mouths. I am going again tomorrow with a friend who has an actual bass boat so will be fishing more of that lake. Cliff

If I found it, I'd gladly share it. But I didn't find it. Another fisherman shared it with me. It's his to share as he sees fit, not mine. If you tell me something, it's between you and me. The point was that learning something that you'll use in the future is more important than what you catch that day.

Way back in the day, I used to play with all kinds of photoshop special effects, and they were all really new and exciting to me. But I burnt out on that stuff a long time ago. Nowadays, the extent of my photoshopping is typically just to bring back detail, remove noise, fix slight blowouts (thank God for RAW ) etc. In other words, fine adjustments that novices might not even notice.
