  1. Well once again I'm hearing rumors that I'm "prepping" the site in order to make it more appealing to buyers; or that I have intentions of selling it. So let me come out in the open and say it.... I have NO intentions of EVER selling this site, period! I NEVER have either. It's simply not an option for me. I'd rather shut 'er down than see somebody ruin it (no, I have no plans to shut it down either). So for all of those who are speculating how much this site is worth - it doesn't matter. IT'S NOT FOR SALE!! I've had this site for over a dozen years now, but it seems ever since the *** boom, I hear this rumor every year or so. But I'm still here, still going strong, and have no intentions of leaving. So... can we get back to fishing now?

  3. It's been said a hundred times, it's not what it takes to haul it but to stop it. I've towed an 18' bassboat with a Dodge Caravan and it is NOT fun when Bambi jumps out in front of you. Thankfully deer bounce really well once you hit them. Stick with at least a 1/2 ton pickup or a full sized SUV. Save on fuel costs by using the back end of your tow vehicle as a camper to turn each trip into two days of fishing per/trip. The only other way to save gas would be to find a storage facility near the lake.

  4. Get some of these for the Flukes and you can pretend you are Banjo Minnow fishing. http://www.basspro.com/Bass-Pro-Shops-reg-XPS-reg-Hook-Keeper-Springs/product/10205319/-1619302

  5. 3" paddle tail swimbaits have been becoming more popular as trailers for me. Got some Keitech Impact 3"ers from Monster that are very active. The new swimming fluke jr has been doing well too. Twitch

  6. Location. The active fish were somewhere out there, either deep or shallow, or in between. You just didn't find them. Happens to all of us more often than we care to admit. Hang in there. P.S. I spent nearly $500 on my swimbait set-up and the actual baits. I had my first bite on the 11th trip (and I missed that fish). EDIT: I checked out the reviews of the book you linked... and it doesn't seem to be a "bass-fishing" book really. Try some of the excellent articles that are hosted on this site.

  10. Just going to comment.....cause sometimes that's just what I do. I have not been here to long but I have developed quite a fondness of this site, the people on here and especially those who run it! Speaking for myself I just know a-lot of that would be lost if someone else....especially a business were to take it over. It would be like what Storm did to the wiggle wart, thunderstick or Mann's to my favorite crank. Glenn refers to this site as home and it is in many ways.....but home would lose its comforts if it had a new owner! Besides that my "Your World Consumed" comments would be lost. 8-)

  12. Makes me wonder how much this site is worth. If I had to guess, I'd say about $15,000.
