Nashua Nev Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 QUOTED FROM UNHBASS37 --- I use to catch a ton of fish out of this pond and lately nothing even last summer. I would like to get together some of you all for fun to see if we can find any bass left in this pond. So here is the info: Who can do the 15th ? April 15th , Jon boat , canoe , Trolling motors only, no gas motors allowed in this pond. Excellent launch , this pond has had some big fish pulled out in years past. Exit 5 w off the Everett turnpike in Nashua, take a right and go past the Police Station. The pond is right there , with the entrance in the parking lot of Conway Ice arena. 5:30ish AM launch time Hopefully the weather will cooperate. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.,cf.osb&biw=1024&bih=583&q=MILL+POND+NASHUA+NH&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hq=&hnear=0x89e3b73f86f17001:0x20c5dff462d6ba73,Mill+Pond&gl=us&ei=2tNxT_TKK8Hk0QHgu4XBAQ&sa=X&oi=geocode_result&ct=image&resnum=1&ved=0CCgQ8gEwAA Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 I'm in! Now, can I use my bass boat if I keep the big motor off? Either way, I'll be there! Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 If I can use the bass boat, I'll have an open seat. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted March 27, 2012 Author Posted March 27, 2012 Shane, http://www.wildlife.state.nh.us/access/access_map_2010.pdf according to the state it is not listed. So i called the state For general boating information, contact: Marine Patrol Headquarters (603) 293-2037 or www.nhmarinepatrol.com Motor Restrictions - Division of Safety Services (603) 293-2037 or www.nhmarinepatrol.com according to them ,they show no restrictions I talked with 2 different people including 1 seargent, whos name i forgot to get. The answer i got was they show no restrictions for petroleum motor use at mill pond. In my estimation it would be about 3/4 the size of Crooked pond in Loudon , definatly no need for a motor any bigger than an electric troller. If i hear different i will post. Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 Shane, my opinion, keep the big boat at home, bring your jonboat, the pond is cozy enough where you will fish the whole place comfortably in the jonboat, and if there are other boaters, and there always is, your bass boat will be "in the way". Super User deaknh03 Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 I think it's around 50 acres, perfect jonboat size. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted March 27, 2012 Super User Posted March 27, 2012 Okay, sounds good. Jon boat it is. Quote
unhbass37 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 I should be there. This pond is tougher then most people would think. It gets a lot of pressure. Should be a good challenge for all of us. Quote

Nashua Nev Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 I may miss the early part of this, i am looking forward to it but i must be in Boston Saturday night, hopefully not too late. Luckily i am only 10 minutes away including hooking up the trailer Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 11, 2012 Super User Posted April 11, 2012 Weather's gonna cooperate just nicely, looks like. See y'all there. Quote
Super User Shane J Posted April 12, 2012 Super User Posted April 12, 2012 So, I take it the launch is that paved driveway at the South end of the pond off of Riverside St ? Quote
NHBassMaster2 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Not sure of the street, but its in the same parking lot as Conway Ice Arena. You'll get off exit 5, take a left, take your first right, go straight through the stop sign and your there. Easy. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 Park in the parking lot at conway arena. its just to the right of the rink entrance. exit 5 w stay right and take a right at the lights oto 111w You will see the Police station on your right. take the right as if you were going into the Police station but go past it. Go straight at the stop sign into the rink parking lot the launch is on the right. a short paved ramp. Park in the rink parking lot in the center lanes if you have a trailer. You dont have to worry about the parking for the skaters there is only 1 skate that morning at 6:30am There is also a new sign this year that says trolling motors only. out in the back of Stellos stadium is also a launch to the Nashua river. You likely will see other boats going there on sunday morning I hope to be able to get there. Quote

I know that because I've fished there for 5 year's and it's always been there. Quote
bass crazy Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 The sign says trolling motors only, so is that inforced ? My tracker has a trolling motor and a gas motor. If i just use the electric am i going to be hasled because of the gas motor? any one have experiances like that ? Quote
bass crazy Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Previous post was ment as a general question. Not my intention to fish in your get together. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted April 13, 2012 Author Posted April 13, 2012 I guess i never noticed the sign before. There have been some pretty good sized boats in there with gas motors up. When i called the State Fish and Game a few weeks ago when we were talking about it on the other thread, they showed no listings or restrictions according to their info. Quote
unhbass37 Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 So how many will be there? I'm gonna fish till 8am or so. The more boats the better. Quote
Nashua Nev Posted April 14, 2012 Author Posted April 14, 2012 I am in Boston sat night, i will be there if i can. Quote
mhtranger Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 I didn't get my rowboat registered and my big boat is on Winni so I won't be there unless someone wants a passenger?? Quote
