I fish a lot of tainted water.  Its clear, but has a brown tint to it and I can see about 3 feet down before losing outlines.  I am looking into getting some Heddon Torpedo's, but I have no clue what color to go with.  Any suggestions?

Same thing goes for Zara Spook, any color suggestions there?

I wouldn 't worry about the color, I 'd worry more about the fish being able to locate the bait which means moving the bait with a lot more frequency than I would if the water was clearer.

I agree with Raul, don't worry about color. Get a color YOU can see easily. Don't worry about the fish. However, if the water is deeper than the visibility of it, I'd think more about sub-surface presentations.

I do quite well with black spooks and torpedos in that kind of water.Frog pattern is great as well. Use the standard size torpedo(I think it is called baby, not tiny or teeny). I normally start with an aggressive popping retrieve with a hard snap in dirty water. No dice? Then use more pauses and a smoother quieter retrieve. Cast into or as near as possible to any visable cover and use over top of shallow humps and points

thanks guys.  I'm fishing in a pond that is approximate 1.5-2 acres.  It is deep in areas, but a tremendous amount of cover close to the banks with numerous lay downs, pads, weeds, etc.  Ive been knocking them dead with frogs for the past 2 months, and now the frog bite is ZERO.  Im assuming that the fish have learned about the frog by now, haha.  ANyways, I think that the spook and the torpedo are good top waters that put out quite a bit noise and will be very helpful, just trying to figure out what color now.  Thank you for all the helpful information guys, I appreciate it a lot.

Black, frog, chartreuse, and gold.
