Good deals don't always mean you're getting a good product.

That's why he's asking if anyone has used them....

Worst case they don't sink, and you can use them with wacky jigs.

You have little to lose for a deuce. Seeing as your from Fla, if they fail use them as a bucktail trailer for snook, I guarantee a catch.

Or on a carolina rig. Soft sticks are awesome on it and the ones that barely sink are even better.

I'm sorry. Allow me to elaborate. I have found a stick bait that works extremely well for me and cost about 6 bucks a bag. I have spent a lot of money trying out other brands that, IMO, didn't produce like the 6 dollar bag. Those baits went to waste and it was like throwing money away. Sure, I caught fish on the knock off brands, but the numbers weren't the same as the original brand. I'm tired of trying out different bait to replace a proven bait just to save a few bucks. That being said, go ahead and try the ones you are referring to. They might prove to be a surperior bait.

You're right, nothing compares to a weightless gycb senko in most situations. But what if the bass want a little different presentation and a slow sinking knock-off is the trick that day. Could prevent a skunk or win a tournament you never know. If you don't like paying for a gycb senko which are $8.49 at most places now then this might be a worthy alternative. You never know until you try it.

If you have a BPS close wait until they put their plasstics on sale. Their stick-O is a pretty good substitute and they normally have them on sale 3 for 10 bucks. I buy enough during the spring fever sale each spring to get me through the year. They aren't the original but they do catch fish.

if I use a knock off and am not catching fish I always think I'd do better with a GYCB. This tells me I have no confidence in the others and as such I don't use them allot. My main Senko is Black & Blue & the BPS ones aren't close to the same color but you gotta love their price!

I started using the less expensive ones made by strike king and haven't noticed a difference in the amt or size of the fish I've caught with them. In fact I've caught a couple bigger ones on the SK than the GY but that isn't due to the bait it is more due to location and the fish that were on that location at the time I wet the bait.

Best way I do it is to buy X brand and test in a fish tank next to the GY and make you own assumption. If you find it comparable enough and will have the confidence to use when on the water you're all set and have found a less expensive bait that works. I still use both but have confidence in both also and thats the key. At two bucks try it and compare and at the least you'll have gained knowledge and will be better off in the end either way.

In fact I just bought some YUM dingers on sale and have to test them to the other brands to see how I like them and know when I will deploy them.

i got tired of buying expensive name brand and wanted to buy in bulk...i tried these ebay ones out and have not noticed any difference in catch rate, to me they work just as good. Many colors to choose from and wont have to buy again for awhile!

just a few for example:

same here, got tired of spendin 7-8 bux for gy senkos that last maaaayyybe 2 fish. z man zinker z's as well as sk ochos have been just as productive as the originals. plus, i can fish the same zinker z all day without it tearing.

As long as they produce,it doesn't matter to me either. There's a lot of custom bait makers that make em'....but the original will always be GYCB senko. Some people are just loyal to the original.

I use Wave Worms besides Yamamoto's. The Wave Worms are now owned by Strike King I believe. You get them at Wally World. The only problem is they don't sink as fast so I use them in shallow water. Another one I get from a small company is called Paul-E -Worms. He may have a web page but he does the shows here in Mass and has a good product.

my biggest fish(about 5lb) was caught on a knock off of the zoom superfluke.give the lesser known stuff a chance, they might surprise you.
