To make a 1/16oz jig I would have to glue the weedguard directly to the hook? :-? What kind of jigs are you talking about?

Give Mike Jones a call at 301-898-3836, he is the owner of Pappy's Baits and he makes killer 1/8oz jigs. He ties them with any combination of pure rubber, fox hair, bear hair, and flashabou you want. When paired with his own Pappy's baits trailers they are deadly on largemouth, spotted bass, and especially big smallies.

If you don;t care about the hook, there are alot of choices out there....just google "1/8 oz bass jig". Hoestly, I really like Stanley's 1/8 finesse head but don't like the mustad lite wire. Arkie also makes an 1/8 oz.  I went through this 2 years ago, thinking they didn't exist.  They are out there!  I bought sample from about 12 places and settle on M&N because of the hook and I made a mold a started pouring my own.

M&N Tackle is still making jigs out of minnesota, I get 1/8oz from him all a couple times a year.  custom colors and 4/0 Gammy hooks. He recently had an accident and is hard to understand and his work is suffering a little but...Mntackle@aol.com...I really like the hook.  Iheard he makes a 1/16 oz as well but never went that lite myself.
