I responded to a question about fishing scales the other day. I had a bad experience with a BERKLEY scale and responded. My post was deleted. What goes, I was respectful and told the truth. why were my comments deleted?????, will this post be deleted????? Are there rules I'm not aware of?????

I've looked everywhere for that post. When things are deleted they go to a Recycle Bin and we are able to pull it right up but I don't even see it in there. Can you post a link to the thread you are talking about?

OK. Honestly I have no clue what happened. Like I said, When a post is deleted it goes into a recycle bin just in case it needs to be recalled. We also can hide a post so the staff can review it. But your post wasn't in either place. It's almost like you never posted it. I'll ask Glenn if something may have happed internally.

For the record. We take deleting posts very seriously. We always talk about it among the mods before it is removed. If we all agree that it should be removed then it is placed in the recycle bin. Of course there are the obvious ones like spam.

No clue. There's no reason a post like that would need "moderation".

Sorry man, but it looks like it was never posted.

Well I remember reading my post and other post after mine on that thread so maybe just a TWILIGHT ZONE experience.

I checked that thread twice yesterday but haven't seen your post, you sure you didn't just hit the preview post or cancel?

Any post staying within the guidelines of BR does not get deleted, snafus may happen but it isn't done on purpose. I think Glenn and the staff are very fair on this issue.

I think this is typical of the computer/internet/information technology industry. On a quality basis my opinion is that the whole ball of wax is much worse than 1960 and 70's cars. I shut down at night and when I open up and/or log on in the morning things have changed. Microsoft updates their software but don't announce what is new. I bought a new computer a year or two ago in less than a month the CRY pooped out, less than a month more the computer died. After I sent it in it came back but the hard drive didn't work properly. I finally got them to send me a new hard drive after opening the drive by pushing the end of a paper clip in the little hole in the drive for weeks.

Even with out the languadge issue the customer service is at best terrible.

Most of the net that I pull up is pretty good but industry hardware and software is far from acceptable.
