cadman Posted August 13, 2011 Posted August 13, 2011 I heat my jigs with a heat gun first and then dip them in powder paint. Once I'm done with all of them, the rack(s) go in the oven. I bake @ 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted August 13, 2011 Super User Posted August 13, 2011 If you can heat them just to the point where the paint goes on and has a dull finish it will be a thin coat and not tend to run when you are baking them. I heat mine either with a propane torch or several at a time in a toaster oven if I am doing a bunch. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 careful. some paints the temps vary. Most of them are 350 for 15-20 min. but some do vary. All manufacturers note this. Quote
