paangler13 Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 HI guys, Whats is a good soft plastic shad type bait. I am going to try drop shoting some this weekend, and was wodering what type of bait to try. I have used flukes before, but was wondering what else I could try. thanks guys. Jim Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted July 1, 2009 Super User Posted July 1, 2009 I don't get too hung up on trying to "match the hatch" when drop shotting. If a bass sees something edible and appearing vulnerable and hovering in it's face, it's going to eat it. The trick to drop shotting is finding bait on a good structure. Do that and you're 90% home. Any 4" worm or shad imitation (i.e.: Berkley Power Minnows) will work. Also, don't over the 3" Sluggos! Quote
DINK WHISPERER Posted July 1, 2009 Posted July 1, 2009 I have had my best success with Flukes and Senkos! Quote
Super User Hammer 4 Posted July 2, 2009 Super User Posted July 2, 2009 If you must have a shad looking worm, the roboworm Hologram shad has been a producer for me..They also have soft shad swimbaits you could ds with... Quote
Super User J Francho Posted July 2, 2009 Super User Posted July 2, 2009 GYCB Shad Shaped worm, Zoom Fluke, Berkley Gulp! Alive Minnow are a few more. Quote

Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted July 2, 2009 Super User Posted July 2, 2009 I use 4'' roboworms and 3-4'' senkos and stickbaits. roboworm has a baby bluegill that looks killer in clear water Quote
