Thad Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 I'm looking to sell a V-Bottom I fixed up. I got it as a gift two years ago and have no idea what the price of it was. It is a 1975 Richcraft 14' V-Bottom. There are no leaks in it. I added about $350+ worth of material to redo the benches and transom. I sealed the wood, carpeted it, and used stainless steel screws. You can see in the pictures that I added a removable deck that fits on top of the benches. I prefer to stand up as if I'm in a bass boat but I took it out when I had more than two people in it. This project took me over 40 hours to complete. Comes with: Trailer 15 HP Gamefisher (Mercury) Outboard 6 gallon gas tank 3 gallon gas tank 43 lb thrust MotorGuide trolling motor Garmin Fishfinder Battery Fire Extinguisher Lights Anchor Basically everything you would need. Just trying to see what I should be asking for the boat. Quote
BassCats Posted July 24, 2011 Posted July 24, 2011 Nice job with the boat. I have one similar to that and have been offered $4000 for mine. Maybe a good starting price ? Good luck Quote
Super User QUAKEnSHAKE Posted July 25, 2011 Super User Posted July 25, 2011 Like that in my area $700 and might stretch it to $1000 obo just a quick search and this your length & hp for $550 http://eauclaire.craigslist.org/boa/2479212996.html Quote

Good luck IMO $4,000 is way out of line. i paid $3,500 for a 150 hp 18' tracker tourney, and had a few to choose from in the $4,000 range. the value of the boat really is in the outboard motor. i do think the boat w/motor could go for as much as $1,000. dulouz Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I would look at what else is for sale in your area. Craigslist, want ads, bulleten boards, etc. Quote
Fish Chris Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 In my area (Nor Cal) $4000 might be a little high, but not "way out of line". And don't ask me why, but the availability of 12ft'ers, vs 14ft'ers is like 6 to 1. Maybe this is also why a 14ft typically goes for 2 to 3 X's as many $, as a 12ft'er ? I'm assuming the motor is a 2 stroker ? If it runs perfect, you might get $2500-2800. If it were a perfect condition 4 stroke, you might get $3000-3500. But again, that's in Cali > the land of big money.... For some people anyway. Peace, Fish Quote
Diablos Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 My current boat 16ft v-hull with 30hp 4 stroke is appraised at 6000-6500 on NADA In my area if I was to sell right now I would probably ask for $4500 considering economy. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted July 26, 2011 Super User Posted July 26, 2011 In my area your looking at somewhere around 1500-1800 Quote
Thad Posted July 26, 2011 Author Posted July 26, 2011 What would you guys say the motor would be worth by itself? It's a 15 HP Gamefisher Model # 225.581508 Here is the pdf manual if you need more specs: http://www.imarksweb.net/book/gamefisher+outboard+15+hp+manual/ Quote
