Morelures Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 I have been fishing this swim jig allot! I would like to start buying the heads myself and making them. Does anyone know where I can get this exact head from? Quote

Siebert Outdoors Posted June 20, 2011 Posted June 20, 2011 Who's head is that? Out of all the molds I've seen and companies that sell heads I've never seen one like that. I have seen alot of them close to that but not exact. Quote
Morelures Posted June 20, 2011 Author Posted June 20, 2011 I bought this from Daves tournament tackle at one of there shows. But now that I think of it he may be pouring his own jig heads. Quote
backwater4 Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Get in touch with Cadman, he does great work. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted June 21, 2011 Posted June 21, 2011 Here is the closest head I could get you.Elite widegap head Quote
cadman Posted June 22, 2011 Posted June 22, 2011 You will never find the exact mold as it was probably custom made for the manufacturer. That is a very very close to a Snootie jig. Quote

Siebert Outdoors Posted June 28, 2011 Posted June 28, 2011 Do you have a pic of just the head. I think I found it. Quote
cadman Posted June 29, 2011 Posted June 29, 2011 Skirt will not hold on to that head very well. Thats another reason I like the hidden weight heads. ....Bill Bill, When I started pouring jigs I never hand tied and only used rubber collars. Back then the Snootie jig was one of the first molds I bought. I never had a skirt slide down the collar. I assume you are questioning the ball end collar on the jig. Now I currently hand tie all of my jigs and I still don't have a problem with the skirt on that jig. I will agree with you that the ball end collars are not as good as the barb, ring and barb or holder collars, however I have never had any issuse wih them. I too like the hidden weight heads as well.
