The most fish I caught in one day last year was on a 97mr Ghost Minnow Slender pointer. For me they work better in the fall than any other time of the year.

What's the feedback on the slender pointer for lake fishing for largemouths?

BPS has original Pointers on sale for $11, but the Slender Pointers are not included. Oddly, while everything else Lucky Craft makes has gone down in price, they're asking $19 for the Slenders! The ones I have were on sale last year for $6.99 so I'll be patient.

avid,

I haven't fished the Slender Pointer for largemouth.

I haven't fished the slender pointers for LM much but there about the only ones I use for SM.  I would think that your better off just fishing the regular pointers for LM.  The is a lot of grass where you fish and the extra hook maybe more of a pain then bonus.  The regular pointers has that  larger profile that those BIG Florida bass love.   I fish the slender pointers around rocks (smallies) and regular pointers around grass (largemouth).  This is just what I have found that works best  for me.

I have only fished these in a lake a few times and they did work but not enough to give an opinion. Now I can tell you that they catch everything swimming in a river! I have caught tons of LM, SM, walleye and even a 12+" sunfish fishing these.
