Super User 5bass Posted February 16, 2007 Super User Posted February 16, 2007 Well,he jumped me again at BPS in Charlotte and gave my wallet a severe beating. I was doing great on my own until I walked past the electronics counter and I could hear something stalking me,breathing real heavy......so I just kept walking as if I didnt hear a thing......then BAM! I suddenly had a new Lowrance FF/GPS in my basket along with a few other things that I didnt really need. Quote
Super User burleytog Posted February 16, 2007 Super User Posted February 16, 2007 My wife was really wanting to go to BPS on Saturday, I wasn't. I knew if I went I would spend way way too much. Luckily (for my wallet), a death in my family will keep us from going. Should have got the Lowrance 111. Roland Martin says so. Quote
Triton21 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 WOW!!!!! I thought he got to me pretty good at Clarksville BPS but got you worse. I got by for a a little over $200 in cranks and plastic.. Kelley Quote
bassnleo Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 Very dissapointed, I dont see any DD14's or 22's in that lot Quote
cbfishalot Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 He got me today also he put a new set of BPS 100mph gore-tex into my basket!! ;D Quote
Fish Man Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 got me for 130$ in the bps baltimore last saterday jumped me right when i got to the wordens roostertails Quote
lunchbox508 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 I think he got you the worst even though he got me pretty good today also. I was at walmart with my mom this afternoon when all the sudden i smelt the aroma of new lures and whatnots. well i ended up throwing 30$ worth of discounted stuff into the basket and got 10 spinnerbaits for 10$ then a few big 1 oz spinner baits to take down to Fork. I got out with only spending a little over 50$. Then a little later i had to go back for dog food, So far I think this is the baitmonkeys best trick well i ended up spending another 50 on a Abu Garcia Revo STX Cast Reel, this is an unheard of price and i know it was marked wrong but they still sold it to me. well i think he still got fivebass the worst seeing as how he ended up with the sweet Lowrance FF/GPS . Fishin49er Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 WOW! A Revo STX for 50 bucks is an awesome deal. The baitmonkey got me while i was in Wal-Mart, luckily it was for a bunch of clearance stuff so not too much damage. Quote
BaitMS Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 5bass...How many hooks do you go through? You using them things on trot lines? lunchbox...you get that STX at Walmart too? That is an AWESOME deal! Quote
Super User 5bass Posted February 16, 2007 Author Super User Posted February 16, 2007 Should have got the Lowrance 111. Roland Martin says so. Thats a good enough reason for me.....to NOT buy that one. The hooks are just 25 packs.....they look like 50's in the pic. That should be enough until next season anyway. On a side note, I did defend myself well against the monkey, originally he had put a Humminbird 797C2 SI FF/GPS in my basket! Whew! That was a close one! He was really into the side imaging technology on that 797. Quote
lunchbox508 Posted February 16, 2007 Posted February 16, 2007 yeah the stx was at walmart and it was sitting next to a abu garcia ambassadeur c4 classic round baitcast reel that was marked 199$ so they just miss marked it. I dont care because they have to sell it to you if it has that tag on it. Plus it came out of the class case by the counter so i couldn't have switched them. I just got lucky. Quote

Watch out for that 334c alot of them are defective, I work at Gander Mtn. and have seen alot of those units go bad the 332c i haven't seen as many problems in. When the unit was first launched many of the 334c's were recalled because they didn't have enough memory to support the system especially with navionics chips, you might never have a problem with the unit but every 334c we've had one display has messed up in some way and thats just running a simulator. I've seen the screen turn off on them, or the screen come up white and stay that way to none of the pages working and the sonar malfunctioning. If you get a good unit you'll be ok but i just want to give you a heads up to test it before you get out on the water. Quote
Super User Munkin Posted February 17, 2007 Super User Posted February 17, 2007 Watch out for those BPS hooks I have had a lot of problems with them breaking. Allen Quote
Guest avid Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I don't see one thing that isn't an absolute necessity. I can't see how you managed to catch a fish without them Quote
