I just finish approximately 20 mile backpacking trip this past weekend at the Jefferson National Forest in Southwest Virgina. The storm rocked us hard to the point where I couldn't sleep at all in the tent. We were near the summit of Mt. Rogers (2 miles to climb) and at that point we were literally in the storm cloud.. We decided go 4 miles back down the mountain fast as possible with a 40 pound pack to escape the storm. Every other hour storms were coming out of no where. Anyway, I miss out on some really good pictures since I had my phone safely stashed in my pack (I don't have a real camera), so hopefully you guys enjoy a few pictures of the Virgina high country. Now, I got plan a fishing trip. ;)
