Fluorocarbon line for weightless baits?

I recently spooled up one of my Shimano Curados with 14lb. BP Fluorocarbon. My intentions were to use this line for crankbaits and spinnerbaits. My question is whether or not this line will perform well with weightless flukes and other baits, like senkos? My other Shimanos all have braid on them, and sometimes, the fluke doesn't sink very well. It stays about 1' or less. I'd like it to average about 3'. Thanks.

I use fluorocarbon leaders for weight to make braid sink when using weightless Finesse and Trick worm presentations. I also use all fluorocarbon for Senkos and Super Flukes.

As for how far a Fluke will sink, it depends on how patient you are. I regularly fish them deeper than 10' on braid with no weight or leader-a Super Line hook is plenty of weight if you are patient.

I have a 7' MH casting rod spooled with 14 lb floro, use this set up for texas rigged baits which includes weighted & unweighted baits like texas rigged senkos & flukes. I've been using this combo for a few years and I think it works very well for fishing flukes. I usually throw my wacky rigged senkos on a 6'9" spinning rod with 6 lb floro.

Other than top water fishing and/or slop fishing, I use fluorocarbon. All other presentations will benefit from this sinking, low stretch line.

Crestliner2008, what brand of fluorocarbon do you use that is "low stretch"?

I use 12# BPS Fluoro for most soft plastic applictions. When I want yo go deeper and faster I push a finishing nail into the bait.
