weaver Posted April 24, 2009 Author Posted April 24, 2009 Thank you all for the welcome. Over here i fish spin baits, cranks and chatters, hardly many if any plastics which is what I'm here to learn. My brain is in overdrive and i can't wait to hit the water this weekend, love it. I reckon a wacky rig would clean up on the schooled up fish and a worm on a Texas rig smashed through the timber would also score. The are two main native species we chase in my state Golden perch and Murray cod. Murray cod grow in excess of 100lb while the Golden's have a maximum growth of 50lb , 10 lb is a solid fish worth bragging about. Other species on offer in my state are trout both browns and rainbows, red fin red fin, silver perch ( a small mouthed cousin of the Golden's that go hard). Most fishing is limited to the Murray river ( big river) with a few dams here and there and a few small streams, Besides this, there is very little fresh water in my state. Quote
