I am going to throw suspending jerkbaits for the first time this year so I am wondering what brands you guys recommend.

I keep telling people this.  You gotta try the new Spro McStick.  It is a great jerkbait that is several bucks cheaper than the LC Pointer and throws just as good.  Great hooks and very good paint jobs. They just need to add more colors which I am sure they are working on for next year.  The Chrome Shad is a hot color on Table Rock.

Just bought some...they better catch me a lunker tomorrow.. ;D

Try going soft. A Zoom super fluke Texas rigged weightless on a 4/0 EWG hook will outfish any hard suspending jerk bait in my opinion.

x4.  The Squad Minnow is a great bait.  Jackall advertises that it stops quickly and it really does.  Makes for a very good presentation.

I use the Smithwick Suspending Rogues in the Log Perch color.

Love my little x-raps.  Olive something or rather color.  Looks just like a shiner.

Something about those flukes I just can't get right.  I'll rig them up just like you said, only difference is on a 3/0 ewg.  The just look damned silly in the water to me for some reason.  I must be retrieving them wrong or something.  It really irritates me as I love using soft plastics.  I actually just bought another bag of super flukes last week to give it another shot..no good.

Megabass Vision oneten in Ito natural. Caught a 5 lb lunker yesterday on it when nothing else worked 0 guessing water was in the low 50's - winds out of he North gusting to 20 mph in about 7 feet of water. long pauses.
