BassResource.com Administrator Glenn Posted September 7, 2009 BassResource.com Administrator Posted September 7, 2009 It's refreshingly less like the sweltering summer of August. But for bass fishermen, September sometimes lands us smack in the middle of a month of confusion. Let Kevin VanDam guide you through it. http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/Kevin-VanDam-Fall-Fishing.html Quote
Super User Crestliner2008 Posted September 7, 2009 Super User Posted September 7, 2009 That's a pretty concise article indeed. I always disliked Sept.. You have to try so many presentations in order to work out a pattern. It just drives me nuts sometimes. The smallies were down around 35' last week. And the drop shot was slaying them. Tomorrow I'm going and I just know it'll be hit or miss there. So....I'll go to plan "B"! This means that I usually start finding humps in water 5' - 10' shallower than the 35' depths I've previously found them. Hmmm. That didn't sound right. What I mean is, if I can't find them in 35', then I'll search for some humps in like 25'. Then work my way up to the shallower humps and points. Still a bit too early to find them really shallow now, but they (SM's) can be harder to find this time of year. Quote
